Day 1: Day 1 : GUWAHATI - SHILLONG (100 KMS 2.5 HRS DRIVE)
Guwahati Arrival Early morning visit the temple of Maa Kamakhya then we will transfer you to Shillong. Enroute Visit Umiam Lake. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel in Shillong.
Day 2: SHILLONG – CHERRAPUNJEE (60 KMS ONE WAY, 2 HRS DRIVE)
Cherrapunjee, Meghalaya Early morning drive to Cherrapunjee. Cherrapunjee possesses some exotic waterfalls and impressive limestone caves, Mawkdok Viewpoint, Nohkalikai Falls, Thangkharang Park and Mawsmai Cave which is one of the 100 odd limestone caves in Meghalaya. Lunch, after lunch back to Shillong en- route visit to Elephant Falls and Shillong Peak. Overnight stay at Shillong. CHERRAPUNJEE: famed for being the wettest place in the world. It was used as the head quarter of the Khasi and the Jaintia Community but they had shifted the base from Cherrapunjee to Shillong in 1864, due to the problem that Cherrapunjee face during the monsoon season. Due to its scenic beauty it became a hot tourist destination.Overnight stay at Shillong.
Day 3: Dawki to Shillong ( 85 kms / 3 hours )
Next morning after breakfast, you will be taken to Mawlynnlong. Mawlynnlong is known for being the cleanest village in Asia and also it has a living root bridge. These bridges are unique formations built by the secondary roots of the rubber trees. The local people net the roots with each other to form a ropeway like structure which after about 100 years becomes strong enough to be used as a bridge to cross the hilly streams. After the sightseeing you will be on your way to Dawki, which has the clearest river water in Asia. . Dawki is located on the border between India and Bangladesh. It is really hard to ignore the crystal clear water of the Umngot River. Boat ride in this pristine river is a major tourist attraction. Travellers enjoy being part of this magnificent scenery and enjoy nearby sights and sounds. Soothing natural beauty of this town and rushing water of Umngot River is a perfect combination for all kinds of visitors either looking for peace or for an adrenaline rush through adventure. After DAWKI you will be on your way back to shillong to the hotel. Overnight in shillong.
Day 4: Shillong - Guwahati Departure.
In the morning after breakfast, we will move toward guwahati. while travelling we will view for a local sightseeing tour of Shillong also known as the Scotland of the East. In our day tour, we will be visiting Cathedral Church, lady hydari park, the Orchidarium, Donbosco Museum , Ward Lake, later proceed for guwahati Airport/Guwahati Railway Station to catch the flight or board the train.
