Under the Beas Project, the dam was completed in 1977 and its primary purpose is hydroelectric power generation. Hanogi Mata Temple:- Scenic Hindu temple perched at the edge of a cliff, with a verdant valley & stream below. Sundar nagar lake:- Sunder Nagar is located in Mandi district. The waters of Beas and Sutluj river given it a man-made lake.

Please note that Rohtang Pass (altitude 3940 mts.) is actually 51 kms. far from Manali, due to heavy snow covering the road, this pass is not accessible during heavy snow fall for Snow Point, and Solang Valley.
