4 Nights 5 Days Home Tour Package Itinerary
Day 1: DAY 1
Reach Bagdogra airport and then transfer from Bagdogra to Murti (at Gorumara National Park) via Teesta Barrage at Gajoldoba. At Murti book Jeep Safari of Gorumara National Park for next morning. In the evening visit Rangamati Tea Garden (via Chalsa and Malbazar, about 30 minute drives one-way) and witness the nature's spectacle of millions of fireflies over vast stretch of tea bushes. This is best seen on full moon nights. Overnight stay at the hotel in Murti.
Day 2: DAY 2
Take the morning Jeep safari of Gorumara National Park early in the morning. After breakfast... go for a day tour of Jhalong, Paren & Bindu and visit the following places. Gairibas View Point to get a lovely panoramic view of Jhalong settlement from top, Jaldhaka river flowing below with a backdrop of Bhutan hills. Go further along and visit the settlement of Jhalong village (also known as Jaldhaka). Visit Paren - a quaint village spread across lower and upper reaches of the hills. Visit Bindu Dam at Bindu Valley... a dam over Jaldhaka river with sweeping views of Indian and Bhutan Himalayas. This dam is used for the Hydel Project at Jhalong. Lunch at Bindu (or at Jhalong) and enjoy local cuisine at a local eatery. Visit Samsing at the fringe of Neora Valley National Park and then Suntalekhola.... see the Hanging Bridge that leads to the WBFDC Forest Lodge at Suntalekhola. Visit Rocky Island located at the bank of Murti river. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Murti
Day 3: DAY 3
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Jaldapara National Park today. It's about 1 hour drive from Murti. On the way visit nearby Murti River Bank and enjoy the river and view of the forest on the opposite bank of the river... that's Chapramari forest. Start for Jaldapara... on the way take a Tea Garden Tour of Dharanipur Tea Estate, Chengmari Tea Estate and also enjoy the views of Diana river, Bhutan hills and visit Lal Jhamela Basti. Check into the hotel and book the Elephant & Jeep Safaris at Jaldapara National Park which are the main attractions here. Overnight stay at hotel in Jaldapara. NOTE: There are limited elephant rides every day and demands are very high. So it can easily take 2-3 days to get a booking for elephant safari. It is easier to get a booking for Jeep Safari.
Day 4: DAY 4
Take the Jeep safari of Jaldapara National Park early in the morning. Get back to the lodge, have breakfast and then visit South Khayarbari Leopard Rescue Center. In the afternoon visit Chilapata forest and take a Jeep safari. As an alternative plan (in case Chapramari is not possible), we would visit Phuentsholling in Bhutan which is about 1 hour drive. Stay overnight at the hotel in Jaldapara.
Day 5: DAY 5
After breakfast, check out and transfer to Bagdogra airport via Chalsa > Mal Bazaar > Sevoke.
