6 Nights 7 Days Home Tour Package Itinerary
Day 1: Cochin - Munnar
Day : 1 Cochin - Munnar (140 kms / 04 hrs drive) Arrive at Cochin and Proceed to Munnar. Being the largest tea-growing region in South India, Munnar is a beautiful hill-station located 1600 meters above the sea level. Sprawling tea plantations, picture-book towns, winding lanes and holiday facilities make Munnar a favourite for travellers looking for relaxing holidays. On the way to your hotel, visit Cheyyappara waterfalls, a perfect feast for your eyes. Reach your hotel and check-in. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure and return back to the hotel for a comfortable overnight stay.
Day 2: Munnar
Enjoy your fresh breakfast in the mountains at the hotel. Proceed for a Munnar sightseeing tour to visit Eravikulam National Park. Spread over an area of 97 sq. km., this park is also home to several species of rare butterflies, animals and birds. In the afternoon, discover the amazing Mattupetty Dam and Kundala Dam with a boating experience enabling you to enjoy the landscape in a leisurely way. You will also visit the Eco point which is located close-by. Get closer to this tea-plantation town by visiting the Tata Tea Museum which reveals the origins and evolution of tea-plantation in this region. Return back to the hotel in the evening for a leisure time and spend overnight at the hotel.
Day 3: Thekkady
After breakfast, proceed to Thekkady. Transfer to hotel & relax. Afternoon, proceed for sightseeing The Periyar wildlife sanctuary is thick evergreen forest, declared a Tiger Reserve in 1978. The splendid artificial lake formed by the Mullaperiyar Dam across the Periyar river adds to the charm of the park. You can also do a things in Thekkady like - Boat cruises on the Periyar lake, visit cardamom, pepper, tea & coffee plantation. Overnight at hotel
Day 4: Thekkady- Kovalam
Later drive to your beach resort at Kovalam the international beach destination of Kerala with shallow water for swimming and other water sports activities. After lunch enjoy the beach till the sun set in the Arabian Sea. Overnight stay.
Day 5: Kovalam -Kanyakumari- Kovalam
After breakfast, check out the resort and drive to Kanyakumari the southern most tip of Indian sub continent also a fantastic tourist spot with the specialty as three major sea joints together there(Arabian Sea, Indian Ocean and Bay of Bengal). It’s a holy place for Hindu Pilgrims too. On the way to Kanyakumari, you can visit Padmanabhapuram palace too as its the architecture wonder of Kerala with aesthetic & complicated wooden works. Reach Kanyakumari by noon and in the evening have a wonderful sunset from the Vivekananda rock situated in the sea. Overnight stay at Kovalam
Day 6: Kovalam - Alleppey Houseboat
Morning after breakfast proceed to Alleppey , where you will be booked to stay overnight on the Houseboat. Staying in Houseboat is breathtakingly stimulating experience. While sailing down a maze of canals one sees different scenes from the villages, paddy fields, coconut palms, fisherman and local life. Lunch, evening tea & snacks, dinner next day breakfast and will be provided in the boat. The cool breeze from the Lake make you sleep early in the night after anchoring in a fancy place. Overnight at Houseboat.
Day 7: Departure
After breakfast check out the hotel and drop at Cochin airport / Railway station.
