7 Nights 8 Days Home Tour Package Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive at Leh
Board the morning flight to Leh . Welcome at the Leh airport by our tour representative from where you’ll be transferred to the hotel in private vehicles. Acclimatizing to the altitude is very important journey before doing any activity so we take rest and venture out to the city market in evening for a casual stroll (on your own). Explore the cafés and restaurants, experience the Ladakhi culture and try your hands on some local cuisines. Return to hotel in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Excursion in Sham valley
Morning after breakfast drive to Alchi. Enroute visit Hall of fame, Magnetic Hill, Gurudwara Patthar Sahib, Confluence of Zanskar and Indus river. Visit Alchi Monastery . Return back to Leh, Have a dinner and overnight stay in hotel.
Day 3: LEH – Enroute Khardungla – “Nubra Valley†150 kms, 5 hrs
Early morning proceed to Nubra Valley via the World Highest Motorable road (5602 Mts) Khardungla pass. Arrive Nubra and proceed for a visit to the White Sand Dunes at Hunder. You can enjoy the camel ride (On Own). Later if time permits visit Hunder and Diskit monasteries, and check in at Deluxe Camp. Evening at leisure. Overnight at the camp.
Day 4: Nubra – Leh (215 kms) 8 hrs drive 150 kms, 5 hrs.
Post breakfast, begin your journey for the day, exploring the various villages of Nubra Valley. Retrace your steps past Diskit, to go to Khalsar Walk your way to the ancient Gompa. Don’t forget to pack a lunch. Spend some time and then drive back over Khardung-La to reach Leh by evening. The sunset is the perfect backdrop you can wish for. Head back to the hotel by late evening for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: LEH – PANGONG TSO (140 kms) 5 hrs drive
After breakfast, drive the mound of earthen monastic dwellings, crowned by the Gompa. The valley is blessed with a beautiful stream flowing through it, originating from the lake, giving a greenish tincture to the otherwise dry landscape around. Apart from flora this area is rich in fauna too. You can see a lot of Himalayan Marmots around the area. However, the main attraction of this circuit is the grand Pangong Tso, which you would reach by early evening. The mesmerizing beauty and the fantastic view of Tso places it a league above anything you have seen so far. Stay overnight in safari tents by the lake shore.
Day 6: Pangong – Leh
After breakfast drive back to Leh. On the way back, visit the Sindhu Ghat, Hemis and Thiksey monastery followed by Shey Palace, There is also a symbolic salute to the brave soldiers of the country. Witness traditional dance performances by local artists from various parts of the country. Then visit The Druk White Lotus School Rancho School. Reach Leh in the evening and head to visit shanti stupa and overnight in Leh.
Day 7: A day to relax and shop on your own
After breakfast you have the full day to relax and explore the Leh city on your own if you want one of the below tours can be arranged for you (at additional cost)
