8 Nights 9 Days Home Tour Package Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival/Srinagar
Meet upon arrival and transfer to Deluxe Houseboat. Late afternoon Shikara ride on Dal Lake visiting floating and Vegetable gardens etc. Also witness walnut woodcarving and Papier Machine making demonstration. Overnight stay in Deluxe Houseboat at Srinagar.
Day 2: Srinagar/Gulmarg
After breakfast drive to Gulmarg (Meadow of Flowers).2730 Mts. Above sea levels. The Distance of 60 kms. will be covered in about 2 hrs. Gulmarg has one of the best Ski slopes in the world and highest golf course of the world with 18 holes. One can also have the view of Nanga Parbat if weather permits. The view enroute from Tangmarg to Gulmarg is fascinating. Also enjoy Gondola ride (Cable car) up to Khilanmarg to enjoy the fascinating view of Peerpanchal range and for pony ride[at your own cost].. Overnight at Hotel Gulmarg.
Day 3: Gulmarg/Pahalgam
After breakfast drive to pahalgam. The distance of 160 kms will be covered in about 4-1/2 kms., Pahalgam (valley of shepherds).. Enroute visiting Saffron fields, Awantipora ruins (1100 yrs old temple of Lord Vishnu built by King Awantiverma), see the beautiful countryside on the way and lot of rice fields. Drive through pine forests. Arrive Pahalgam transfer to hotel. Later have bridle walks and feed your cameras with the picture of magnificent view of mountains.. Overnight stay in Hotel at pahalgam.
Day 4: Pahalgam/Srinagar
After Breakfast One can visit Chandanwari (snow bridges) or Aru on ponies[at your own cost]. later drive back.Overnight stay in Hotel at Srrinagar.
Day 5: Srinagar + local sightseeing
After breakfast enjoy sightseeing of Mughal Gardens visiting Nishat Bagh (Abode of Pleasure) built by Asif Khan brother-in-law of Emperor Jehangir in 1632AD. And Shalimar Bagh (Abode of love) built by Jehangir for his wife Empress Noor Jehan. All the gardens are situated on the bank of Dal Lake with the Zabarwan Mountain in the background. The distance from Srinagar to the said gardens is about 12 and 15 kms respectively.. Overnight stay in hotel at Srinagar.
Day 6: Srinagar/Sonamarg/Srinagar
After breakfast Full day excursion to Sonamarg (Meadow of Gold) the distance of about 83 kms will be covered in 2-1/2 hrs. Sonamarg lies in Sindh valley stream with flowers and surrounded by mountains. Sonamarg is also the base for some interesting treks to the high altitude of Himalayan lakes. Enjoy horse riding up to Thajwas glacier and sledge riding on snow[at your own cost]. Later Drive back to Srinagar.Overnight stay in Hotel at Srinagar.
Day 7: Srinagar- Yusmarg - Doodh Ganga -Srinagar
Full day excursion to Yusmarg (Meadow of Flowers) enroute visit of Charar sheriff shrine village. After noon visit to Doodh Ganga by Pony (at your own cost). Return to Srinagar for over night stay at Hotel at Srinagar
Day 8: Doodpathri
Doodhpathri lies in a bowl shaped valley in the Pir Panjal Range of the Himalayas, at an altitude of 2,730 m (8,957 ft) above sea level. It is an alpine valley covered with snow clad mountains and the meadows of Pine Fir and Deodar. The natural meadows, which are covered with snow in winter, allow the growth of wild flowers such as daisies, forget-me-nots and butter cups during spring and summer.overnight stay in Srinagar
Day 9: Srinagar/Airport
After breakfast transfer to Airport to catch flight for further destination
