11 Nights 12 Days Tour Package Itinerary
Day 1: Day 01 : Arrival at Gangtok-
On your arrival at Bagdogra airport/ Jalpaiguri railway station/ Tenzing Norgay bus stand, meet our tour representative and get transferred to Gangtok. Popular as the ‘land of monasteries’, Gangtok is an important tourist destination to visit in India. Being the capital town of Sikkim, around 60km away, Gangtok has all what a traveler looks for a perfect holiday . It is a beautiful town with varieties in Rhododendron, orchids and butterflies. The town is best-know for its tranquil and aesthetic ambience. With its breathtaking tourist attractions, the place allures travelers from all parts of India and across the globe. Check-in at a pre-booked hotel and stay overnight.
Day 2: Day 02 : Gangtok Sightseeing (fullday)
- Today, have breakfast and leave for Gangtok sightseeing tour. Some of the important places of interest we take you to are- Directorate of Handicrafts and Handlooms Emporium, Research Institute of Tibetology, Do Drul Chorten (stupa), Enchey monastery, White hall, Flower Show, Ganesh Tok, Hanuman Tok, Tashi View point and Banjhakri falls. Directorate of handicrafts and handlooms Emporium is one among the best places to shop in the state of Sikkim. The center has a wide collection of beautiful thangka paintings, wooden masks, traditional hats and caps, stuffed dolls, embroidered products, carpets, handlooms and cane and bamboo work. The center is also a training center for those who want to learn about handicraft. Other attractions-Do Drul Chorten, a magnificent stupa put up by the head of the Nyingma order of Tibetan Buddhist, Trullshi Rinpoche. It is the biggest stupa in Sikkim and is home to a complete set of Dorjee Phurba, Kangyur relics (holy books) and other religious objects. There are 108 prayer wheels around the stupa, which are turned to read the mantra ‘Om Mane Padmane Hum’ engraved on it. Surrounded by tall pine trees all around, Enchey Monastery is believed to be constructed on a land blessed by Lama Druptob Karpo (a tantric master). The monastery is highly revered and inside the monastery you can see some shells that are considered auspicious Buddhist symbols. Listed among the most important temples to visit in Sikkim is Ganesh Tok, at an altitude up to 6500 ft. The main deity presiding inside the temple is of Lord Ganesha. The temple is not only visited to seek blessings, but also to enjoy the surrounding and the scenic views from the hill top. In-addition, if it is a clear day then you can also have a fascinating view of Kanchenjunga (the third highest peak). Adore the spectacular views of Kanchenjunga (on a clear day) and rising sun from Tashi view point. In case, if you want to have an unforgettable experience of these notable peaks and gorgeous surrounding, then you need to head here before 5am. Later, in the evening either you can relax or stroll around the local bazaars of the place. Some of the important that you should definitely buy during your Gangtok trip are handicrafts, locally made artifacts, shimmering jewelries, Tibetan carpets, alpine cheese, black cardamom, Sikkim tea and other traditional outfits.
Day 3: Day 03 : Excursion to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir (full day)
- On 3rd day of your short escape to Gangtok tour, have breakfast and get ready for short trip to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir. Settled at an altitude up to 12, 400ft, Tsomgo Lake is one of the popular tourist spots in Sikkim. Locals here claim that in earlier times, the color of the lake was studied by Lamas in order to predict the future. The water of the lake derives from melting of snow from mountains. Usually, the lake is covered with snow for most of the year. To enjoy the serenity, indulge in Yak ride or mule ride along the lake. Another attraction, Baba Mandir is an important shrine, built in the memory of Baba Harbhajan Singh (a soldier); the holy place is now maintained by Indian army. The temple is located at a height up to 1300 ft and is just few kilometers away from Tsomgo Lake.
Day 4: Arrival and Transfer to Darjeeling
A serene hill station set at an elevation of 2050 meter, Darjeeling opens arms to tourists from all over the world to explore its untouched beauty. The weather of the hill town is so alluring that nothing in the world can make you leave it. Take a toy train ride (UNESCO World Heritage Site), have a look at the beautiful tea plantations while crossing the valleys, enjoy a stroll around the Mall road, enjoy the breathtaking views of the Kanchenjunga peak from the Tiger Hill and sip in a cup of the best tea in the world. On reaching Darjeeling, check-in to the hotel. In the evening, go out for a stroll around the Mall or local shopping center of Darjeeling. Have a comfortable overnight stay at Darjeeling.

While going back to Darjeeling, visit major tourist attractions like Ghoom Monastery, War memorial and Batasia Loop. Batasia Loop is the place through which the toy train passes in a loop like pattern. It is a great location to enjoy a 360 degree view of Darjeeling’s picture perfect landscape. At the center of the Batasia Loop Garden, there is War Memorial, which was built to honor the Gorkha soldiers who lost their lives in different operations and wars after India’s independence. Built back in the year 1875, Ghoom Monastery holds immense importance as it is dedicated to Maitreya Buddha, who is believed to be ‘The Buddha to Come’. The monastery preserves some rare, handwritten Buddhist manuscripts. Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel and then leave for your next round of sightseeing. Visit one of the most popular attractions of Darjeeling, Peace Pagoda. Peace Pagoda was purposely built in order to bring peace and prosperity in the world. It displays four different avatars of Buddha and is open to people of all races and creeds. Don’t miss taking a cable car ride which offers breathtaking views of the Himalayas. Walk through the beautiful tea estates and pick up the best tea in the world for yourself. Also, visit other attractions of Darjeeling such as Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday), Tensing and Gumpo Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center (Closed on Sunday) and Natural History Museum (Sunday Closed). Later, return to the hotel and take some rest. Go for a walk around the local market area in the evening. Enjoy a comfortable overnight stay at Darjeeling.
Day 6: Excursion to Mirik (Full Day)
After having your breakfast, start driving towards Mirik. As you drive through picturesque valleys and lush green meadows, experience the soft breeze caressing your face and tranquility calling you closer. Mirik is one of the most serene tourist attractions of Darjeeling. Relax by the beautiful Sumendu Lake and let the pleasing weather and breathtaking views leave you mesmerized. Enjoy activities like boating, horse ride and canoeing at Mirik. Mirik is a great location for trekkers as it offers a number of trails from where tourists can enjoy the view of thick and beautiful forests. Walk through the tea gardens and enjoy the sight of Himalayan range, orange orchards and cardamom groves. On your way back to Darjeeling, visit Pashupati Market and shop for imported clothes and cosmetics from Thailand. In the evening, go for a stroll around the Mall or the local market area. Day 7: Transfer to Pelling & Sightseeing at Pelling
Pelling, which is a prominent hill station in the western part of Sikkim. Situated at an altitude of around 2100 meters, Pelling is known for its natural splendor and tranquility. Unspoiled and covered with dense alpine vegetation, waterfalls after every couple of miles and the sight of the greater Himalayas and Kanchenjunga overshadowing the valley, the town is perfect to wind up in the lap of nature. Journey to Pelling from Kalimpong is likely to take 2 hours and as you arrive in this serene paradise, you would be embarking on a sightseeing trip to the numerous attractions or jewels that the town feels proud of. Amongst them, the most prominent ones include Kanchenjunga falls and Rimbi waterfalls. At first, you would be heading to Rimbi waterfalls, which is around 12 kms from Pelling. Rimbi waterfalls are situated right at the banks of Rimbi river and are remarkable to watch. Moving ahead from these falls are the king size Kanchenjunga falls. Situated around 28 km from the main town of Pelling and named after the mighty Kanchenjunga mountain, Kanchenjunga falls is renowned for its grandeur and beauty. The existence of this splendid waterfall largely remained unknown until the mid 90s, when a local tour operator accidentally discovered it at a sharp curve on the roadside. The place is ideal for picnicking with family and friends. Thus, you can have a nice time relaxing near the gushing Kanchenjunga falls. Other attractions that you will be surely visiting in Pelling including Kecheopalri lake and Rimbi rock garden which lies in close vicinity of the majestic falls. Also visit Sinsore Bridge –Asia's 2nd Highest Bridge, Post all the sightseeing, return to the town of Pelling and make a check in to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 8: Transfer to Lachung
Welcome to ‘Lachung Yumthang Tour‘ In the morning drive to Lachung. Enroute you will visit Kabi Lungchok, Namok, Mangan, Singhik view point Seven Sisters Water Falls, Naga Water Falls, Chungthang & numerous other water false & mountain streams
Day 9: Excursion to Yumthang
Full day excursion to Yumthang Valley. The valley is covered with snow during January to March & with rhododendrons during April & May. Enroute visit Sulphur Hot Spring having medicinal values. Lunch at hotel in Lachung. After lunch visit Handicraft Centre & Lachung Monastery.
Day 10: Transfer to Kalimpong & Sightseeing at Kalimpong
As soon as you are done with your breakfast, embark on a journey to Kalimpong, which is another famous hill station in the state of West Bengal. Kalimpong resides at an elevation of around 1200 meters and the main town is on a ridge area connecting two hills. Owing to its magnificent Himalayan beauty and invigorating climate, the place is no less than a paradise. After a journey of 1 hr and 40 mins, you would be arriving at Kalimpong. As you arrive, you would be quickly heading to a sightseeing tour of Kalimpong. Under this, you would be visiting Deolo hill, Teesta valley, Pine View Point, Orchid, Golf Club and Dr Graham’s Homes School. Amongst them, Deolo hill holds quite prominence. As mentioned earlier, Kalimpong lies on a ridge between two hills, Deolo hill is one of them. Situated at an elevation of around 1700 meters, Deolo hill is the highest point of the hill station. Owing to the location of the hill, you can have an enchanting view of the whole town of Kalimpong, the nearby Relli valley and the bloodline of Kalimpong, the beautiful Teesta river. Once you reach the top of the hill, you would be welcomed with a park of exotic flowers. Besides these attractions, our tour representative will also make you visit the scared Durpin hill and Durpin monastery, which is around 5 km from the main town of Kalimpong. After this, call it a day and make a check in to a pre-booked hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 11: Darjeeling Full Day Sightseeing Tour With Tiger Hill
Spend your day today witnessing a magnificent sunrise over the Himalayas and exploring local tourist attractions. To watch the blaze of rapidly changing colors of the snow peaks as the sun strikes, set out early in the morning, before dawn (4 am), to the highest point in Darjeeling Tiger Hill (2590 m) - for views of a breathtaking sunrise and its reflection rays over the Kanchenjunga Ranges and other impressive Himalayan peaks. On the way back to your hotel, visit Batasia Loop and Ghoom Monastery. Expected arrival time at hotel: 7 am. After freshening up and a hearty breakfast at your hotel, visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursday), Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park, Darjeeling Ropeway Ride (Ticket cost not included & will be approx INR 180.00 per person), Tenzing - Gombu Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self Help Centre (closed on Sundays), Japanese Temple & Peace Pagoda, and panoramic view of Tea Estate. End your lovely city tour day with an overnight stay at hotel in Darjeeling.
Day 12: Departure From Darjeeling
After you have finished your breakfast, a transfer will be arranged to Bagdogra Airport/ NJP Railway Station from the hotel (distance from Darjeeling to Bagdogra Airport: 110 kms/3 hrs). Your tour in Darjeeling has ended. Let the memories begin!
