7 Nights 8 Days Tour Package Itinerary
Day 1: Day 1 – Airport/New Jalpiguri – Gangtok
Reach at Bagdogra / NJP & transfer to Gangtok. Check-in at Hotel/ Resort and overnight stay. Evening free to go around the famous M.G. Marg. Enjoy the local beauty of Gangtok.
Day 2: Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir (Nathula Pass Extra)
After breakfast day excursion to the oval shaped Tsomgo Lake (40 kms from Gangtok departure in the morning) - situated at a height of 3,780 mts. with an average depth of 50 ft and home to the Brahminy duck and several migratory birds. On the way stop at Kyongnosla The cool water of the Lake is perfectly attuned with the scenic beauty around. Travel to Baba Mandir another 17 kms beyond Tsongo lake.Return to Gangtok. Overnight halt at Gangtok Hotel. Optional Nathula (Additional Cost of 5000 per vehicle) (14140 Ft / 4310 Mts / 20 Kms in 1Hrs one way from Tshangu Lake) Baba Mandir (13100Ft / 3994 Mts / 16Kms in 1Hrs one way from Tshangu Lake) is an Indo China border, controlled by the Indian Army & is situated approx 20 Kms ahead of Tshangu Lake at an height of 14140 Ft / 4310. The journey to Nathula & Baba Mandir is same up to 16 Kms. At this point the right arm of the “V†which is 4 Kms takes one to Baba Mandir & left arm of the “V†which is 4 Kms takes one to Nathula. One can opt for Nathula Excursion by paying a supplement cost which varies from month to month. Nathula permit gets confirmed 24 hrs prior to the journey date & it is subjected to permit availability as it is allotted as per lottery. Nathula is closed on Monday & Tuesday for tourist. Organizing the permit at the last moment is not possible & a clear window of 72 Hrs with proper documents is required to process the permit. There is no refund, in case the permit is confirmed by Sikkim tourism & due to whatsoever reason (Land slide, Heavy rain fall, VIP Movement, Health issue etc) one is not able to visit.
Day 3: Gangtok Local Sightseeing and (Paragliding optional Rs 500 waiting charge)
Start for a Full day city tour covering Tashi view point, Ganesh Tok, , Flower show, Cottage Industry and Handicraft Centre, Institute of Tibetology, Dro-dul Chorten, Enchey Monastery & Banjakhri Falls (maximum 6 hours). Overnight stay at Gangtok.
Day 4: Gangtok – Pelling(namchi sightseeing extra Rs 3000)
This morning after breakfast transfer to Pelling/darap. (6,100 ft.). Enroute visit Ravengla,. And visit Buddha park. On arrival check-in to your hotel. Overnight stay at Pelling.
Day 5: Pelling Sightseeing
After breakfast start for full day sightseeing. 1st Half tour - Darap village, Rimbi water Falls, Khecheopalri Lake & Khangchendzongha waterfalls. In afternoon start for 2nd Half tour - Pemayangtse Monastery, Sangacholing Monastery, Rabdantse Ruins, New Halipad Ground. Overnight stay at pelling.
Day 6: Pelling to Darjeeling Transfer and Toy Train Ride (Optional, At Own Cost)
After breakfast Drive to Darjeeling. On arrival Check-in to hotel & rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.
Day 7: Day 6 – Tiger Hill and Darjeeling Sight Seeing
Early morning (4 am) visit Tiger hill, Batasia loop and Ghoom Monastery. After return have your breakfast and proceed for sightseeing. Overnight at Darjeeling. Sightseeing includes - • Zoological Park • Himalayan Mountaineering Institute • Ropeway • Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center • Tensing Rock • Japanese Temple
Day 8: Day 8 – Darjeeling to NJP / Bagdogra
After breakfast at your hotel and proceed for the NJP Station / Bagdogra (IXB). Board your train/flight for your onward destination with cheerful memories of your holiday. Trip Ends.
