Day by day

  1. Day 1 Phuentsholing

    Arrive at Bagdogra & Drive in to Phuentsholing (170km, approx 4 hrs drive)

    Arrive to Bagdogra and transfer to Phuentsholing (alt. 300m / 985 ft) - it is a thriving commercial center. On arrival check in to your hotel rooms & evening go for a walk arround Zangthopelri Lhakhang Situated in the heart of city.

  2. Day 2 Paro

    Phuentsholing to paro( 180km, approx 6 hrs drive)

    After an early breakfast complete all the immigration formalities at Phuentsholing and then transfer to Thimphu. On arrival checking in hotel, proceed to visit Ta Dzong, originally built as Watchtower, which now houses National Museum. The extensive collection includes antique thangkha paintings, textiles, weapons & armour, household objects and a rich assortment of natural and historic artifacts.
    Then walk down the trail to visit Rinpung Dzong, meaning (“fortress of the heap of jewels”), which has a long and fascinating history. Along the wooden galleries lining the inner courtyard are fine wall paintings illustrating Buddhist lore such as four friends, the old man of long life, the wheel of life, scenes from the life of Milarepa, Mount. Sumeru and other cosmic Mandala.

  3. Day 3 Paro

    Day 3: Hike to Tiger Nest (approx 6 hours hike).

    After breakfast hike to Taktshang Monastery (Tiger’s next) approx 6 hours round trip hike. It is one of the most famous of Bhutan’s monasteries, perched on the side of a cliff 900m above the Paro valley floor.
    After Hike visit Drukgyel Dzong, along the way, visit the 7th century Kyichu Lhakhang one of the 108 temples built in the Himalayas by Tibetan King, Songtsen Gampo.

  4. Day 4 Paro

    Day 4: Excrusion to Haa Valley vai Chelela pass (75Km, approx 4 hrs)

    After Breakfast Drive to Haa Valley, the valley of Guardian Spirit. En route, you will be crossing the Chele La Pass, the highest motorable high pass of Bhutan. The pass is situated at 3,988 meters or 13,083 feet between Paro and Haa valleys. On a clear day, you can enjoy the astounding views of snow-capped mountains, including Mount Jumolhari and Jichu Drake. The pass, which is filled with colorful Buddhist Prayer flags, also offers an unparalleled view of the verdant valleys.
    Further, you will be driving downhill from the pass and driving through a dense forest filled with fir, pine, and oak trees. In the afternoon, you will be exploring the local villages. Moreover, you will be visiting the local families and interacting with them. A stay at the remote Haa Valley will give insight into the daily lifestyle in rural Bhutan and experience warm local hospitality.

    Towards late afternoon drive back to Paro for your overnight stay. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Paro. (Altitude 2,280m)

  5. Day 5 Phobjikha Valley

    Day 5: Paro to Phobjikha (4hrs)

    After breakfast transfer to Phojikha by Thimphu across Dochu La Pass. Located at a height of 3,088m/ 10,130 ft, Dochula is a beautiful scenic point housing 108 beautiful Chorten(Stupa), circular mani(Prayer wheel) wall, and prayer flags which decorates this highest point en-route.
    On arrival embark on a fascinating excursion to Gangtey. The valley of Gangtey is one of the most beautiful spots in Bhutan. The surprise of finding such a wide, flat valley without any trees after the hard climb through dense forests is augmented by an impression of vast space, an extremely rare experience in Bhutan where most of the valley’s are tightly enclosed.
    Visit here the Gangtey Gompa : Perched on a small hill that rises from the valley floor, the Gangtey Monastery is the only Nyingmapa monastery on the western side of the Black Mountain’s and also the biggest Nyingmapa monastery in Bhutan. The Monastery is surrounded by a large village inhabited mainly by the families of the 140 Gomchens who take care of the Monastery.

    Then explore the fascainting Phobjikha Valley. This place is the winter home of black necked cranes that migrate from the arid plains in the north to pass winter in milder and lower climate. Phobjikha, at an altitude of 2900 m, falls under the district of Wangduephodrang and lies on the periphery of the Black Mountain National Park.

    Also visit Black Neck Crane Information Centre. Situated on the edge of the forest and wetland along the main road of Phobjikha valley, the black-necked crane information Centre has an observation room equipped with high power telescope and spotting scopes for catching the best view of the cranes. The centre also offers display information that outline the natural and cultural history of the area. There is a small gift shop, which sells handicrafts produced by the local people.

  6. Day 6 Bumthang Valley

    Day 06: Phubjikha to Bumthang – approx 5 hrs drive

    After an early breakfast check out from hotel and drive to Bumthang locally known as a “mini Switzerland” due to its unique landscapes and beauty like Switzerlan. You will drive through Trongsa across Pele-La-Pass (11,120 ft.), Then drive to Bumthang over the Yutong-La-Pass (11,155 ft.). On arrival, check in to the hotel, refresh and relax after along day Journey.

  7. Day 7 Bumthang Valley

    Day 7: : Full day Bumthang Local Sightseeing

    After breakfast visit Jakar Dzong (Castle of White Bird). Then visit Lamey Goemba, Jamb ay Lhakhang and Chakhar Lhakhang (Iron Castle). After lunch visit Kurjey Lhakhang, T amshing Lhakhang (Temple of the good message) and to the Membarstho (“The burning L ake”)..

    While in Chumey valley in Bumthang, visit the Yathra Weaving Factory. In the evening vi sit a
    local handloom weaving house and Interact with the weavers…

    Day 8: Bumthang to Punakha – approx 8 hrs drive

    Punakha to Thimphu ( 2hrs)

    After breakfast Visit Punakha Dzong - The Palace of Great Happiness and one of the most beautiful fortress of Bhutan after that Visit Bhutan Longest Suspension Bridge.
    Without further delay procced to Thimphu by the same route Dochu la Pass. On arrival checking in hotel, towards evening visit Buddha Point (Kuensel Phodrang) ). The largest seated Buddha statue (169ft) in the country Located at a short drive from Thimphu city. Then, visit King's Memorial Chorten and towards evening go for a walk in Coronation Park & stroll through the government-run Handicrafts Emporium and local crafts bazaar.

  10. Day 10 Phuentsholing

    Day 10: Thimphu to Phuentsholing (180km, approx 6 hrs drive)

    After breakfast, visit:-
    1) Trashichhoedzong the central administration center of Bhutan and the pictusresque fortress of pride,
    2) Takin Preserve center at Motithang a small zoo housing the unique and rare ship-like animal which is the national animal of Bhutan
    3) Simply Bhutan Musuems - Museum resembling a Bhutanese village, featuring traditional cuisine, demonstrations & performances.

    After then drive back to Phuentsholing. 5km before Phuentsholing visit Kharbandi Goenpa from where you can get the eagle eye view of the Phuentsholing city and the plains, daurs area (India) boarder town.
