Day 1 Phuentsholing
Day 1: Arrive at Bagdogra & Drive in to Phuentsholing (170km, approx 4 hrs drive)
Arrive to Bagdogra and transfer to Phuentsholing (alt. 300m / 985 ft) - it is a thriving commercial center. On arrival check in to your hotel rooms & by evening go for walk arround Zangthopelri Lhakhang situated in the heart of city.

Day 2 Thimphu
Day 2: Phuentsholing to Thimphu ( 180km, approx 6 hrs drive)
After an early breakfast complete all the immigration formalities at Phuentsholing and then transfer to Thimphu. On arrival checking into hotel, Visit Buddha Point (Kuensel Phodrang) ). The largest seated Buddha statue (169ft) in the country located at a short drive from Thimphu city. Then, visit King's Memorial Chorten and towards evening go for a walk in Coronation Park & stroll through the government-run Handicrafts Emporium and local crafts bazaar.

Day 3 Thimphu
Day 3: Thimphu local sightseeing’s
After breakfast, Visit Simply Bhutan a fascinating testimony of the Bhutanese living traditions, National Library, housing an extensive collection of priceless Buddhist manuscripts and the Institute for Zorig Chusum (commonly known as the Painting School) where students undergo a 6-year training course in Bhutan’s 13 traditional arts and crafts. Then, drive to Takin Preserve. Takin is national animal of Bhutan, and looks like a cross between a cow and goat.
Later in the afternoon visit Trashichhoedzong, “fortress of the glorious religion”. This is the center of government and religion, site of monarch’s throne room and seat of Je Khenpo or Chief Abbot. Built in 1641 by the political and religious unifier of Bhutan, Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, it was reconstructed in 1960s in traditional Bhutanese manner, without nails or architectural plans. Also make visit to Jungshi Handmade Paper Factory(traditional paper-making process) By evening go for walk along Changyul Park.

Day 4 Punakha
Day 4: Thimphu to Punakha (75km, approx 2 ½ hrs drive)
After breakfast, drive to Punakha across Dochu La. Located at a height of 3,088m/ 10,130 ft,
Afternoon visit Punakha Dzong or (Palace of Great Happiness), built in 1637 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal at the junction of the Phochu and Mochu rivers and longest Suspension Bridge in Bhutan. Later in the day go for excursion to Chimi Lhakhang (the temple of fertility).

Day 5 Phobjikha Valley
Day: 5 Punakha to to Phobjikha(2hrs 21m drive)
After an early breakfast drive to fascainting Phobjikha Valley. This place is the winter home of black necked cranes that migrate from the arid plains in the north to pass winter in milder and lower climate. Phobjikha, at an altitude of 2900 m, falls under the district of Wangduephodrang and lies on the periphery of the Black Mountain National Park.
Visit even Black Neck Crane Information Centre, Situated on the edge of the forest and wetland along the main road of Phobjikha valley, the black-necked crane information Centre has an observation room equipped with high power telescope and spotting scopes for catching the best view of the cranes. The centre also offers display information that outline the natural and cultural history of the area. There is a small gift shop, which sells handicrafts produced by the local people.

Day 6 Paro
Day 6: Phobjikha to Paro ( 4 hours drive)
After breakfast drive to Paro, on the way you can see Tachog Lhakhang (first iron bridge in Bhutan), following the way back up the dramatic Wang Chhu and Paro Chhu river valleys, before crossing through Paro town towards the north end of the valley.
Later in the day after checking into hotel, proceed to visit Ta Dzong, originally built as
Watchtower, which now houses National Museum. The extensive collection includes antique thangkha paintings, textiles, weapons & armour, household objects and a rich assortment of natural and historic artifacts.
Then walk down the trail to visit Rinpung Dzong, meaning (“fortress of the heap of jewels”), which has a long and fascinating history. Along the wooden galleries lining the inner courtyard are fine wall paintings illustrating Buddhist lore such as four friends, the old man of long life, the wheel of life, scenes from the life of Milarepa, Mount. Sumeru and other cosmic Mandala.

Day 7 Paro
Day 6: Hike to Tiger nest (Approx 6 hrs hike)
After breakfast, hike to Taktshang Monastery (Tiger’s next) approx 6 hours round trip hike. It is one of the most famous and wonders of Bhutan, perched on the side of a cliff 900m above the Paro valley floor. After Hike visit Drukgyel Dzong, along the way, visit the 7th century Kyichu Lhakhang one of the 108 temples built in the Himalayas by Tibetan King, Songtsen Gampo.

Day 8
"Final Adieu" - Farewell & Departure from Paro to Phuntsholing and to Bagdogra (approx 11 hrs drive)
After an early breakfast, take a final stroll around Paro town, visiting some renowned handicraft shops to collect souvenirs and lasting memories of your Bhutan journey. Then, begin your drive back to Phuntshling. We sincerely thank you for visiting Bhutan and allowing us to be part of your journey.
