Day 1 Thimphu
PICK UP BAGDOGRA VIA PHUENTSHOLING TO THIMPHU (317km-8/9hrs)
On Arrival, Meet & Greet with your Tour Representative from All Ways Tours and Travels, and complete the immigration formalities and transfer to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. On the way we will drive to visit Sangye Migyur Ling Lhakhang, also known as the Milarepa Tower . En- route stop to see the 8 types of stupas located at Gedu which is known as Eight Dharma Kaya Stupa & later stop at at famous Roadside Waterfall, a popular, easily accessible spot for photos and a quick break, located in the Chukha area. Before reaching Thimphu, we will pass through Chuzum gate, a beautiful spot with three stupas where three rivers meet . On arrival check in at the hotel. Overnight stay at Thimphu.

Day 2 Thimphu
HIKE TO CHERI MONASTERY
Morning Hike: Trek to Cheri Monastery. The trail is a steep 1.5 to 2-hour ascent through alpine pine forests crossing a traditional cantilever bridge over the Wang Chhu river, leading to a 17th-century meditation center.
Afternoon: Visit Tashichho Dzong, the fortress housing the throne room and monastic body, best viewed during the late afternoon flag-lowering ceremony. -
Day 3 Punakha
THIMPHU TO PUNAKHA(77Km-3hrs)
Embark on a picturesque journey from Thimphu to Punakha, covering 73 kilometers in approximately 3 hours. Departing after breakfast, the scenic drive unveils the breathtaking Dochula Pass en route to Punakha, situated at an altitude of 1300m/4265ft. Blessed with fertile lands from the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers, Punakha showcases its natural beauty and cultural richness. Commencing in the morning, your exploration begins with Punakha Dzong, the ‘Palace of Great Happiness,’ built in the 17th century and now serving as the winter residence for Je Khenpo, the head abbot, and a community of 1,000 monks. Afternoon ventures include a visit to the historic Punakha Suspension Bridge, one of Bhutan’s oldest, and Chimi Lhakhang, the 15th-century Temple of Fertility. This pilgrimage site for couples concludes your day. As evening descends, immerse yourself in Punakha’s rich history and natural splendor, with an overnight stay allowing you to savor the tranquility of this captivating valley.

Day 4 Punakha
PUNAKHA VALLEY HIKING & CONFLUENCE
Morning Hike: Trek to Khamsum Yul-le Namgyal Chorten. This 1.5-hour hike crosses a suspension bridge over the Mo Chhu river and winds up through farm terraces to a multi-level stupa offering sweeping valley views.
Afternoon: Explore Punakha Dzong, the former winter capital positioned exactly at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers. -
Day 5 Phobjikha Valley
PUNAKHA TO PHOBJIKHA VALLEY
Depart Punakha at 11:00 AM for the scenic, winding ascent into the high-altitude marshlands.
Visit the 17th-century Gangtey Monastery situated on a spur overlooking the green expanse.
Walk the 1.5-hour Gangtey Nature Trail. This relatively flat, soothing path cuts through pine forests and opens directly into the marshy floor of Phobjikha Valley. -
Day 6 Paro
PHOBJIKHA EXPLORATION & TRANSIT TO PARO
Spend the morning at the Black-necked Crane Visitor Centre, Phobjikha or exploring the valley floor.
Depart at 4:00 PM for the 4.5 to 5-hour drive across the central passes to Paro, arriving late evening. -
Day 7 Paro
PARO TIGER NEST HIKE
Ascend to Paro Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest). This is a rigorous 4 to 5-hour round trip gaining 900 meters in elevation, navigating dirt paths and steep cliffside stone steps.

Day 8 Siliguri
PARO VIA PHUENTSHOLING TO SILIGURI DROP
Depart Paro at 12:00 PM. This involves an 8 to 9-hour mountain descent through Phuentsholing and across the Indian border to overnight in Siliguri / Bagdogra.

SILIGURI TO BAGDOGRA DROP
Proceed to Bagdogra Airport the morning of October 24 for the 10:20 AM outbound flight.
