  2. Day 2 Patnitop

    Today take transfer to Patnitop , a beautiful hill resort of the Kashmir valley, is situated at a distance of 112 km from Jammu. Hovering above a beautiful plateau and encircled by dense forests, it is located at a height of 2024 m. ... Patnitop hill station wears a thick coat of white snow in winters.PatniTop or Patnitop, is a hilltop tourist location in Udhampur district on the National Highway 44, on the way from Udhampur to Srinagar. It is located in the Shiwalik belt of the Himalayas, and is in Jammu and Kashmir. The river Chenab flows in close proximity to this location. Origin of the name PatniTop is a distortion of the original name of "Patan Da Talab" meaning "Pond of the Princess". In olden times a pond existed in the meadows and the kings princess often used to have her bath there. Part of the pond still exists near the youth hostel. The Britishers probably couldn’t get the name correctly in their revenue records , and over the years it changed from "Patan Da Talab" to PatniTop.

    Patnitop To Nathatop- patnitop

    Nathatop is the well known hill station in the udhampur district of jammu and kashmir. It is about 50 kms from udhampur and about 10 kms from patnitop. Thr place is covered with snow in winters.A short trek from Patnitop brings you to Natha Top or Nathatop, wonderful place which is thickly covered by snow during the winter months. Nathatop is an excellent choice for skiing activities. A favorite attraction for novice and expert skiers this place also has three scenic fresh water springs in its proximity which are known for their medicinal qualities. Nathatop has become very famous for the Paragliding options available here. Nathatop offers amazing views of western Himalayas.In the evening return back to patnitop.
