ARRIVlL AT SRINAGAR AIRPORT AND PROCEED FOR PAHALGAM
Pahalgam is a little different than other tourist destinations in Kashmir. While places like Gulmarg and Sonamarg are quite small in size, Pahalgam is comparatively bigger and spread over a larger area. The place remains open for tourists for all 12 months but the majority of its visitors arrive in late June, July, and early August. There is not much to see or do in Pahalgam itself, to be honest. Most of its primary tourist attractions are located at a distance of 8-10 kilometers from the main town. Pahalgam Golf Course : A Stunning Green Hamlet Surrounded by soaring pine trees and lofty mountains, this 18-hole golf course is snuggled at an altitude of 2400 metres above sea level and will captivate you with its unspoilt picturesque scenery.Golfing amidst the snow-clad mountain scenery, indulge in leisurely walks and spend some time marvelling at the scenic green vistas that you’ll see from here. You can also visit the deer park located towards the end of the golf course. Betaab Valley : It will leave you spellbound with its emerald-green grasslands and towering deodar, pine and walnut trees amidst soaring mountains. The valley is surrounded by snow-capped mountains and dense pine and deodar forests, making it a visual treat for visitors. The Lidder River flowing through the valley adds to its enchanting beauty. The valley is also home to many exotic species of birds, making it a paradise for bird watchers. Immerse yourself in the lap of nature as you picnic amidst soaring mountain peaks, trek up to Green Top point and capture ethereal vistas of the scenic hilly terrains and mountains. Aru Valley : Welcoming you with a carpet of colourful blooming meadows amidst towering mountains, Aru Valley is located on the banks of Aru River and serves as the base camp for trekking to the Kolhoi Glacier and Tarsar Lake.Soak in the quietude of nature as you indulge in strolls amidst blossoming meadows and admire the awe-inspiring mountain scenery as you enjoy pony rides to explore the various nature trails. Chandanwari (or Chandanwadi) : It is a picturesque valley situated on the outskirts of Pahalgam in Jammu & Kashmir. It is set around 16 km from Pahalgam, at an elevation of 2895 m. Remarkably, Chandanwari is regarded as a tourist destination with religious significance as it is the Gateway to the holy Amarnath Yatra. It is sanctified with mesmerizing natural beauty and offers splendid sightseeing opportunities, with the Lidder River flowing nearby & snow-covered mountains surrounding the valley. Baisaran Valley : Picnic in Mini Switzerland, Here you can go via Pony Riding, Ziplining, Zorbing, Camping nestled just 5 km away from Pahalgam, Baisaran Valley is a leading sightseeing destination. It is popularly referred to as the mini-Switzerland due to its magnificent beauty. Baisaran is a hilltop meadow speckled with dense pine forests and enveloped by snow-clad mountains. It is a base camp for visitors trekking to Tulian Lake and also an eminent offbeat tourist destination. Baisaran offers picturesque views of the Pahalgam town & Lidder Valley. It is an ideal destination for people who want to spend some peaceful moments in the lap of nature. You can explore the valley on foot or opt for a pony ride in this panoramic landscape, enjoying the tranquility.
