  2. Day 2 Pahalgam

    Srinagar to pahalgam

    After breakfast leave for Pahalgam (valley of shepherds). The distance of about 160kms will be covered in about 3 to 4 hrs. Enroute visiting Saffron fields, Awantipora ruins (1100 yrs old temple of Lord Vishnu built by King Awantiverma) and Mattan (Holly fish Shiva Temple) see the beautiful countryside on the way and lot of rice fields. Drive through pine forests. Arrive Pahalgam transfer to hotel. Later have bridle walks and feed your cameras with the picture of magnificent view of mountains, Overnight stay in Hotel at pahalgam

    after leave from srinagar do visit NishatBagh (Abode of Pleasure) built by Asif Khan brother-in-law of Emperor Jehangir in 1632AD. And Shalimar Bagh (Abode of love) built by Jehangir for his wife Empress Noor Jehan, Chashmashahi garden, Pari Mahal etc. All the gardens are situated on the bank of Dal Lake with the Zabarwan Mountain in the background.
