Day by day

Day 1 Pahalgam
Day 01--- Arrive jammu and transfer to pahalgam and stay
As you arrive at Katra Railway Station or Bus Stand, the Capture Kashmir
Tours representative will give you a warm welcome. From there, you will
drive to Pahalgam (around 6–7 hours, 250 km), with a short lunch stop in the
Ramban area. On the way, you can capture stunning photographs of the
scenic landscapes and enjoy the fresh mountain air. By evening, you will
reach Pahalgam and check in to your hotel for some rest. Later, take a
leisurely stroll along the banks of the Lidder River or nearby lush gardens,
soaking in the serene surroundings. The day will end with dinner at the hotel,
followed by an overnight stay in Pahalgam. -
Day 2 Gulmarg
Day 02 --- Pahalgam local sightseen to Gulmarg stay
Next morning after breakfast, proceed to explore the enchanting
valleys of Pahalgam — Aru Valley (12 km from Pahalgam, a peaceful
village surrounded by pine forests and mountains), Betaab Valley (7
km from Pahalgam, a famous Bollywood shooting spot known for its
lush meadows and crystal-clear streams), and Chandanwari (16 km
from Pahalgam, the starting point of the Amarnath Yatra offering
snow-clad peaks and scenic beauty). (Please note that sightseeing to
these valleys is done by local union cabs which can be hired directly
at your own cost.) After spending a memorable day in the lap of
nature, drive back to Srinagar enjoying the scenic views on the way.
On arrival, you will be dropped at your hotel in Gulmarg with wonderful
memories of Pahalgam. -
Day 3 Srinagar
Day 03 --- Gulmarg sightseen to Srinagar
After breakfast, explore all local sightseeing in Gulmarg, including the
world-famous Gulmarg Golf Course, St. Mary’s Church with its
charming colonial-era architecture, the scenic Bota Pathri, and the
beautiful Strawberry Garden, capturing memorable photographs along
the way. For visiting these attractions, you will need to hire a local
cab for convenient travel. Later in the day, depart for Srinagar, arriving
by evening to enjoy a comfortable overnight stay with dinner at your
hotel, concluding a memorable journey through the hills, snow, and
serene landscapes of Gulmarg. -
Day 4 Srinagar
Day 04 --- Srinagar to Doodhpathri
After breakfast at your hotel in Srinagar, depart for Doodhpathri, located
approximately 40 km away, passing through picturesque villages, rolling
valleys, and scenic hill slopes dotted with wildflowers. Doodhpathri, meaning
?Valley of Milk?, is known for its expansive pastures, sparkling streams, and
serene natural surroundings. On arrival, explore the famous Shali Ganga
River, enjoy the tranquil environment, and take part in ATV rides or pony
rides to traverse the meadows and nearby trails. You can also indulge in
nature walks, photography, and picnics amidst the breathtaking scenery,
while soaking in panoramic views of the surrounding snow-capped
mountains. After a refreshing and fun-filled day in the pristine valley, drive
back to Srinagar for dinner and overnight stay, completing a memorable day
immersed in the natural charm of Doodhpathri -
Day 5 Sonmarg
Day 05 --- Srinagar to sonmarg stay
After breakfast, you will drive approximately 80 kilometers from Srinagar to
Sonmarg. On the way, you will first stop at Wayul, a beautiful spot perfect for
taking selfies and enjoying the scenic surroundings. Then, continuing via Kangan,
you will proceed to visit the stunning Thajiwas Glacier, known for its pristine
snowfields and breathtaking views. To reach Thajiwas Glacier, you can either walk
or enjoy a pony ride. Sonmarg, also called the “Meadow of Gold,” offers
opportunities for nature walks, pony rides, visiting the popular Fishing Point on the
banks of Sind River, and adventurous activities like zip lining near the picturesque
Baltal View. Zojila Pass, Zero Point, Kargil War Memorial and the Kashmir last
village require hiring a separate union cab, depending on weather conditions, as the
road is often closed in winter due to snow. After a refreshing day amidst nature,
you will return to hotel by evening. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel -
Day 6 Srinagar
Day 06 --- Sonmarg to Srinagar sightseen (Houseboat stay)
After breakfast check out to hotel and drive to Srinagar embark on a full-day tour of Srinagar, the city of lakes and
gardens. Start with the famous Mughal Gardens – Nishat Bagh, Shalimar
Bagh, and Chashme Shahi, known for their terraced lawns, Mughal fountains,
and stunning views of Dal Lake. Continue to Pari Mahal, a historic monument
perched on a hilltop offering panoramic views of the city. Visit the revered
Hazratbal Shrine, located on the banks of Dal Lake, and explore the serene
Botanical Garden filled with vibrant flowers. Head to the colorful Tulip
Garden, Asia’s largest, open only during March and April when thousands of
tulips bloom. Then, visit the iconic Shankaracharya Temple, situated atop a
hill, offering spiritual peace and breathtaking views of Srinagar. In the
evening, enjoy a relaxing Shikara Ride on Dal Lake, gliding past floating
gardens and houseboats surrounded by the Zabarwan Mountains. Later,
return to the hotel for overnight stay and dinner. -
Day 7
Day 07 --- Katra Departure
After a hearty breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel for your departure
to Katra Railway Station or Katra, approximately 270 km from Srinagar, taking
around 7–8 hours by road. Carry with you the breathtaking landscapes and
unforgettable memories of Kashmir, curated and made seamless by Capture
Kashmir Tours, and embark on a safe and pleasant onward journey.
