Day 1 Munnar

After your arrival in Cochin, begin your scenic drive towards Munnar, a breathtaking hill station nestled in the Western Ghats of Kerala. Stop at the beautiful Valara and Cheeyappara Waterfalls, where cascading waters amidst dense forests make for a perfect photo opportunity. You will also visit a spice plantation, where you can explore and learn about Kerala’s famous spices such as cardamom, pepper, and cloves. The aroma and freshness of the plantation make it a delightful experience. A full-day sightseeing tour in Munnar is an excellent way to explore its natural beauty and cultural attractions. The journey begins with a visit to Eravikulam National Park, famous for its lush green landscapes and the rare Nilgiri Tahr. The entry fee for the park is approximately ?200 for Indian adults and ?500 for foreign tourists, while children under 12 enjoy a discounted rate. The next stop is the Mattupetty Dam and Lake, where visitors can take boat rides (?300-?500 depending on the type of boat) and enjoy the serene surroundings of the reservoir nestled among tea plantations. Following this, you'll head to Echo Point, where you can experience the natural echo phenomenon.
