The journey begins with a visit to Eravikulam National Park, famous for its lush green landscapes and the rare Nilgiri Tahr. The entry fee for the park is approximately ?200 for Indian adults and ?500 for foreign tourists, while children under 12 enjoy a discounted rate. The next stop is the Mattupetty Dam and Lake, where visitors can take boat rides (?300-?500 depending on the type of boat) and enjoy the serene surroundings of the reservoir nestled among tea plantations. En route, visit Anayirankal Dam near Chinnakanal, where emerald waters contrast beautifully with surrounding tea estates, and take short breaks to walk through lush plantations and capture photos.
