Day 1 · Darjeeling
Njp/Bagdogra to Darjeeling via Mirik
Upon arrival at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) or Bagdogra Airport (IXB), you will be received and begin your scenic journey to Darjeeling via Mirik and Indo-Nepal border viewpoints. This route is slightly longer but extremely beautiful and less crowded. Your first stop will be Mirik, a charming hill town famous for Sumendu Lake surrounded by pine forests. You can take a short walk around the lake or enjoy the peaceful ambiance. Next, visit Gopaldhara Tea Estate, one of the highest tea gardens in Darjeeling, known for its lush green slopes and panoramic views. You can enjoy the scenic beauty and take photographs (factory visit depends on permission). Continue towards the Indo-Nepal border at Pashupati Market, where you can explore local shops (entry may require valid ID). This is a popular spot for budget shopping. After that, head to Simana View Point, offering spectacular views of the surrounding valleys and tea gardens along the border. Later, visit the peaceful forest village of Lepchajagat, known for its dense forests, tranquility, and beautiful Kanchenjunga views (weather permitting). After completing the sightseeing, continue your drive to Darjeeling. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and relax. Overnight stay in Darjeeling.

Darjeeling Local Sightseeing
Early in the morning (around 4:00 AM), you will start your day with a visit to Tiger Hill to witness the spectacular sunrise over Mt. Kanchenjunga. On a clear day, you may even catch a glimpse of Mt. Everest glowing in golden hues. While returning to the hotel, you will visit Batasia Loop, a unique railway loop offering stunning views of the mountains along with a beautifully maintained garden, and Ghum Monastery, one of the oldest Tibetan Buddhist monasteries in the region. After completing the morning sightseeing, return to your hotel for breakfast. Post breakfast, you can enjoy the famous Darjeeling Himalayan Railway Joy Ride (advance online booking is highly recommended) for a memorable experience through the hills. Later, proceed for the remaining local sightseeing covering Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park (zoo), Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (HMI), Peace Pagoda & Japanese Temple, followed by Tenzing Rock and a tea garden (outer view) where you can enjoy the scenic beauty of lush green tea estates.
