Day by day

  1. Day 1 Gangtok

    NJP/Bagdogra to Gangtok

    Upon arrival at NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport (IXB), you will be received by our representative/driver and proceed towards Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim. The journey covers approximately 120–125 km and takes around 4.5–5.5 hours, depending on road and traffic conditions.

    The drive starts from the plains of Siliguri and gradually ascends into the hills. En route, pass through Sevoke, where you can witness the iconic Coronation Bridge over the Teesta River. Continue along the Teesta River, enjoying scenic views of flowing water, valleys, and mountain landscapes. There are several roadside eateries where you may stop for refreshments or lunch (on direct payment basis).

    Upon arrival in Gangtok, check in to your hotel. In the evening, you can explore MG Marg on your own—Gangtok’s famous pedestrian street known for its vibrant atmosphere, cafes, restaurants, and shopping options.

    All expenses for shopping, food, and activities at MG Marg will be on direct payment basis (own expense).

  2. Day 2 Gangtok

    Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir & Nathula Pass (optional extra cost )

    After early breakfast, proceed for an excursion to Tsomgo Lake (Changu Lake), located at an altitude of about 12,400 ft. This beautiful glacial lake is surrounded by snow-capped mountains and remains frozen during winter. Visitors can enjoy the breathtaking scenery and may also take yak rides near the lake (optional).

    After spending some time at Tsomgo Lake, continue to Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir, a sacred temple dedicated to an Indian Army soldier who is believed to protect the region even after his death.

    Nathula Pass (Optional):
    Tourists can also visit Nathula Pass, located at an altitude of around 14,140 ft on the Indo–China border. Nathula is one of the highest motorable roads in the world and offers spectacular views of the Himalayan mountains. Visitors can also see the Indo–China border gate and interact with Indian Army soldiers stationed there.

    (Visit to Nathula Pass depends on permit availability and it remains closed on Monday .)

    After completing the sightseeing, return back to Gangtok by evening.

  3. Day 3 Lachung

    Gangtok to Lachung

    After early breakfast, proceed for a scenic drive from Gangtok to Lachung, covering approximately 115 km in around 6–7 hours, depending on road and weather conditions. The journey takes you through the rugged yet beautiful landscapes of North Sikkim, with winding mountain roads, lush forests, and stunning river views.

    En route, you will visit Seven Sisters Waterfall, a popular roadside attraction ideal for photography, Continue your journey towards Chungthang, a small town located at the confluence of the Lachen Chu and Lachung Chu rivers, which also holds religious significance.

    Lunch will be served at a local restaurant/homestay on the way (simple meals) Own Cost. After lunch, continue driving through scenic valleys and mountainous terrain towards Lachung. The beauty of the route, with waterfalls, rivers, and snow-capped peaks in the distance, makes the journey truly memorable.

    Reach Lachung by late afternoon or evening. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel . Spend the rest of the evening at leisure amidst the peaceful surroundings.

  4. Day 4 Lachung

    Excursion to Yumthang Valley – Optional Zero Point / Mount Katao extra cost

    After early breakfast, proceed for an excursion to Yumthang Valley, located at an altitude of around 11,800 ft and popularly known as the “Valley of Flowers of Sikkim.” The drive takes approximately 1.5–2 hours through scenic mountain roads lined with rivers, forests, and seasonal blooms of rhododendrons. Upon arrival, enjoy the breathtaking natural beauty of the valley, surrounded by snow-capped peaks and flowing streams. Spend some leisure time exploring and taking photographs.

    After visiting Yumthang Valley, guests may opt for an additional excursion to Zero Point (Yumesamdong), located at an altitude of approximately 15,300 ft, where snow can be experienced almost throughout the year. This visit is optional and available at an extra cost, payable directly to the driver/vehicle association, and is subject to weather and road conditions.

    Guests can also opt for a visit to Mt. Katao, another snow point near Lachung known for its pristine views and adventure activities. This requires a special permit and is also chargeable on an extra basis. Please note that Mt. Katao is usually visited early in the morning from Lachung and is subject to army permission and weather conditions.

    After completing the sightseeing, return to Lachung by afternoon and have lunch at the hotel. The rest of the day is free for leisure, or guests may proceed for their onward journey as per the travel plan.

  5. Day 5 Gangtok

    Lachung to Gangtok

    After breakfast, check out from your hotel in Lachung and proceed towards Gangtok. The journey covers approximately 115 km and takes around 6–7 hours, depending on road and weather conditions. The return drive offers equally mesmerizing views of the North Sikkim landscapes, with mountains, rivers, and waterfalls accompanying you throughout the journey.

    En route, you will pass through Chungthang, where you can take a short break and enjoy the scenic confluence of rivers. Continue your journey with stops at beautiful attractions like Bhimg Nala Waterfall (one of the highest waterfalls in Sikkim) and Seven Sisters Waterfall, perfect for photography and relaxation.

    Lunch will be served at a local restaurant on the way (on direct payment basis or included as per package). After lunch, continue your drive along the Teesta River, enjoying the peaceful surroundings and fresh mountain air.

    Reach Gangtok by late afternoon or evening. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and relax after the long journey.

  6. Day 6

    Gangtok – NJP/Bagdogra (Approx 4–5 hrs)

    After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed from Gangtok towards New Jalpaiguri Junction Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport for your onward journey. Enjoy the scenic drive through beautiful hills, river valleys, and lush green landscapes while carrying wonderful memories of your trip. Tour ends with sweet and unforgettable experiences.

    Note:If NH10 remains closed due to any reason, then an alternative route will be used for the transfer. Extra payment will be applicable for the diversion route.
