Day 5 Darjeeling

The sparkling sunrise over Kanchendzonga and the ‘Queen of Hills’ will fascinate your family on the second day of your Darjeeling tourpackage. Wake up at dawn and head for Tiger Hill to watch the world’s third highest peak – the Kanchendzonga, turn from pink to gold as the sun rises over the mountain range. While returning ,
stop by at the 135-year-old Ghoom Monastery & the Batasia Loop War Memorial, built in the memory of martyred Gorkha soldiers. Enjoy a cup of piping hot Darjeeling tea at one of the tea stalls. Come back to your hotel for breakfast and rest for a while.
Later, visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Thursday closed). Take your kids to visit the Padmaja N. Zoological Garden (Thursday closed) and the Tibetan Refugee Centre (Sunday closed) for an amazing experience.
Rummage through souvenirs at the market in Mall Road and buy lovely trinkets. Return to your hotel late in the evening for dinner and stay overnight, marking an end to the second day of your 6 days Sikkim & Darjeeling family tour package. -
Day 6 Darjeeling

Darjeeling to Mirik Excursion – Day Trip Itinerary Total Distance (One Way): ~49 km
Travel Time (One Way): ~2 hours Have an early breakfast in Darjeeling. and Process towards Mirik
Enjoy scenic views of rolling tea gardens and the Himalayan foothills along the way. Stop at Jorpokhri (Optional) A peaceful lake and viewpoint, ideal for photos. hort break (15–20 mins) for tea/snacks.
Reach Mirik Lake (Sumendu Lake) Walk around the lake, take a shikara (boat) ride (if available).
Visit the footbridge over the lake. Pony rides available for kids. Bokar Monastery Visit
Peaceful Tibetan monastery near Mirik town. Offers great views of the hills and valleys Visit Tea Gardens (Mirik Tea Gardens / Tingling Viewpoint) Short visit to tea estates. You can walk through the tea gardens and click photos. Drive to Pashupati Market (Indo-Nepal Border, Optional) 13 km from Mirik (about 30 mins). Market known for imported goods, cosmetics, clothes, electronics.
