Day by day

Day 1 Shillong
Guwahati – Shillong (ASSAM – MEGHALAYA)
Morning drive to Shillong (140 km / 4 hrs drive approx). En route visit Umiam Lake. Check-in
Hotel and after refreshment if time permits, we visit Cathedral of Mary and Ward’s Lake,
evening roam the Shillong famous Police Bazar on foot. Overnight in Shillong -
Day 2 Cherrapunjee
Shillong - Cherrapunji
After breakfast check out hotel, drive to Cherrapunjee (60 km/2 ½ hrs). Check in hotel and
promptly visit Mawsmai Cave, Seven Sisters Falls, and Nohkalikai Falls. After lunch at
Cherrapunjee, visit Thankarang Park, Mawkdok Dympep Valley View Point , Koh Ramhah.
Overnight at Cherrapunjee. Note: Please note that all sightseeings are possible if time permit. -
Day 3 Dawki
Cherrapunjee – Mawlynnong - Dawki – shnongpdend - Shillong (Meghalaya
After breakfast check out hotel, drive to Mawlynnong (90 km/3 hrs). Reach Mawlynnong and visit
Mawlynnong village (The cleanest village in Asia, Mawlynnong, is a pleasant place where youcan
visit and unwind. The rains bring out the luscious greens of the trees and forests. Thegorgeous
green grasses do bring out the beauty of the village.), living root bridge. Note: It isadvisable to
carry packed lunch to Mawlynnong. After lunch drive to Dawki (35 km/1 ½ hrs) andboating at
Umngot river – the crystal clear water river.After that go to shnongpdeng village andstay there
over night . -
Day 4 Shillong
Shnongpdeng - Jowai- Shillong
After breakfast check out hotel, drive to Mawlynnong (90 km/3 hrs). Reach Mawlynnong and visit
Mawlynnong village (The cleanest village in Asia, Mawlynnong, is a pleasant place where you
can visit and unwind. The rains bring out the luscious greens of the trees and forests. The
gorgeous green grasses do bring out the beauty of the village.), living root bridge. Note: It is
advisable to carry packed lunch to Mawlynnong. After lunch drive to Dawki (35 km/1 ½ hrs) and
boating at Umngot river – the crystal clear water river.After that go to shnongpdeng village and
stay there over night . -
Day 5 Bhalukpong
Tawang – Bomdila (ARUNACHAL PRADESH)Shnongpdeng - Jowai – Shillong
After breakfast go to Jowai .where visit Krang suri water fall ,The walk down to Krangshuri is a
pleasant descent – you begin on an open meadow and slowly climb down into more defined
shrub and vegetation and Laitlum Canyons. After, a small trek to Phe Phe Falls and witness the
beauty of the Phe Phe falls which is not to be missed in the Jantia Hills. Later drive back to
Shillong . Check in hotel at Shillong. Overnightat Shillong -
Day 6 Dirang
Shillong to Bhalukpong - Transfer
After breakfast drive to Bhalukpong, the border of the states of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. It
is a place of enthralling scenic beauty. The sparkling river Jia Bharali which passes through
Bhalukpong is an adventure, lover’s paradise. By the side of the river is the Nameri National Park
which falls under Project Tiger. Overnight at Bhalukpong Note : if time in hand -
Day 7 Tawang
Bhalukpong – Dirang (ASSAM – ARUNACHAL PRADESH) -
After breakfast drive to Dirang (180 km / 08 hrs), en-route at Tipi visit Orchid Center and en-route
visit Sessa Orchid Sanctuary (blooming is from end March till May), reach Dirang and visit the
Dirang Dzong and a Monpa village. Check into the hotel and overnight at Dirang. -
Day 8 Tawang
Dirang – Tawang (ARUNACHAL PRADESH)
Today after breakfast drive to Tawang (160 km / 08 hrs), en-route you will visit Sella Pass and
Sella Lake situated at an altitude of 13476 ft. Also visit Jaswant Ghar and before reaching
Tawang visit the Nunarang fall. Reach Tawang and check into Hotel. Evening at leisure.
Overnight at Tawang. -
Day 9 Bomdila
Tawang -
After breakfast visit Tawang Monastery - the second biggest and oldest in Asia and is known as
the Tawang Ganden Namgyal Lhatse, the celestial paradise of the divine site chosen by the
horse was founded by Merag Lodroe Gyamtso in the year 1680-81. The Dalai Lama gave him a
painting of goddess Palden Lhamo to be kept in the monastery. The 8 m high gilded statue of
Lord Buddha dominates the sanctum. Also, visit Urgelling Monastery - the birthplace of the Sixth
Dalia Lama. Ani Gompa, after a late lunch and refreshment, visits Tawang War Memorial and
evening at leisure. Overnight at Tawang. After breakfast, drive to explore Bumla Pass and
Sangestar Lake. The Sangestar Lake, also known as Madhuri Lake, is about 20 km fromTawang,
en route to the road leading to Bum La Pass. The lake has been surrounded bywonderfully lush
valleys and snow-capped mountains. A leisure walk is the best way to explorethe picturesque
surroundings of the lake. Bumla Pass, situated at an altitude of over 15,000 ft issnowbound for
almost the entire year due to its steep elevation and presents a beautiful view ofthe Tibetan
plateau. The road to the pass takes visitors through many sleepy hamlets and sceniclakes,
making the drive memorable. Maintained by the Indian Army, Bumla Pass is a must forthose who
want to see how Indian soldiers protect the borders in the harshest of climes. Note:Our vehicles
are not allowed for Bumla Pass, PTSo lake, and Madhuri lake sightseeing atTawang. Therefore,
guests have to hire a local Vehicle where our driver will assist the guest, butplease note that we
have no control over there. Bumla Pass is accessible only by permission ofthe Deputy
Commissioner in Tawang District and the Indian army of Tawang. -
Day 10 Guwahati
Bomdila (ARUNACHAL PRADESH)
After breakfast drive to Bomdila (195 Kms / 7 hrs drive). En route visit the very famous Apple
orchid if time permits. Check in hotel. Overnight at Bomdila. -
Day 11
Bomdila – Guwahati (ARUNACHAL PRADESH – ASSAM)
After breakfast, check out hotel and drive to Guwahati airport (140 Kms / 4 ½ hrs drive) for
onward journey. En route visit kamakhya temple , Assam State Museum and Assam Emporium.
