    Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya, known as the "Scotland of the East." En route, stop at the Umiam Lake, a scenic man-made reservoir surrounded by rolling hills – a perfect photo stop. After reachingShillong, check into your hotel and relax. If time permits, take a leisurely walk around Police Bazaar,the bustling market area. Enjoy the pleasant evening weather and prepare for the adventures ahead.

    After breakfast, depart for Cherrapunji (Sohra), famed for being one of the wettest places on Earth.On the way, stop at Mawkdok Dympep Valley Viewpoint to enjoy stunning views of the lush greenvalley.     Cherrapunjee - Nongriat - Cherrapunjee

    Gear up for a thrilling day as you trek to the Double Decker Living Root Bridge in Nongriat village. This moderate to difficult trek involves over 3000 steps each way, passing through lush rainforests, hanging bridges, and clear pools. On the way, pass by scenic jungles, smaller root bridges, and the spectacular Blue Lagoon, a turquoise natural pool ideal for a refreshing swim The bridge, made entirely of living tree roots, is a marvel of bioengineering and unique to Meghalaya. You may also seethe Single Root Bridge and the Rainbow Falls if you're up for an extended trek. After spending some time at this natural wonder, trek back to Cherrapunji and return to your hotel for a welldeserved rest.

    Cherrapunjee - Dawki

    Check out and drive toward Lyngksiar Falls, a hidden gem with clear water and natural pools—
    ideal for a short, refreshing dip. After that, continue your drive toward Mawlynnong, known as
    Asia’s cleanest village. Explore The charming village surroundings. Then, drive to Dawki, a
    picturesque town near the India-Bangladesh border. En route, you can stop at scenic spots like
    Riwai Village to see the Single Living Root Bridge. On reaching Dawki, visit the Umngot River,
    famous for its crystal-clear waters – so clear that boats appear to float on air. Enjoy boating on this surreal river and relax by its pebbled shores. Also, visit the Indo-Bangladesh border point at
    Tamabil, where you can literally wave at travelers on the other side. Overnight stay in a camp or
    guest house near Dawki, known for its riverside charm.

    Dawki to Shillong via Krang Suri Falls

    After breakfast, start your journey back to Shillong with a detour to the stunning Krang Suri Falls, one of Meghalaya’s most beautiful and less-commercial waterfalls. Enjoy a refreshing swim in its turquoise blue waters or simply take in the beauty of the surroundings. Then head to Phe Phe Falls, another lesser-known but majestic spot near Jowai (short hike required). After spending quality time here, a visit to the majestic Laitlum Canyon, known for its breathtaking, expansive vistas and dramatic cliffs.
