Day by day

  1. Day 1 Shillong

    Arrival at Guwahati - Proceed to Shillong - Approx. 03 Hrs.

    On Arrival at Guwahati Airport/Railway Station our driver will pick you from airport and proceed to Maa Kamakhya Temple:

    • Kamakhya Temple - The Kamakhya Temple also Kamrup-Kamakhya is a Hindu temple dedicated to the mother goddess. It is one of the oldest of the 51 Shakti Pithas. Situated on the Nilachal Hill in western part of Guwahati city in Assam, India, it is the main temple in a complex of individual temples dedicated to the ten Mahavidyas. Among these, Tripurasundari, Matangi and Kamala reside inside the main temple whereas the other seven reside in individual temples. It is an important pilgrimage destination for General Hindu and especially for Tantric worshipers.

    After that proceed to shillong on the way you can visit Beautiful Umiam Lake:

    • Umiam Lake: Umiam Lake is a reservoir in the hills 15 km north of Shillong in the state of Meghalaya, India. It was created by damming the Umiam River in the early 1960s. The principal catchment area of the lake and dam is spread over 220 square km.

  2. Day 2 Mawlynnong

    Shillong – Mawphlang Forest - Mawsynram – Shillong

    Today after breakfast get ready to Explore Mawphlang Scared Forest:

    • Mawphlang Sacred Forest: About Mawphlang Sacred Forest (Mawphlang Sacred Forest one of the most remarkable features of the Khasi Hills are the sacred forests, which have been preserved by traditional religious sanction, since the ancient days. One of the most famous sacred forests is the Mawphlang Sacred Forest, about 25 kilometers from Shillong.

    After visit Mawphlang forest that drive towards Mawsynram on reaching start exploring Mawjyngbuin Cave Naturally Formed Shiva Lingaa. It’s like Kedar Nath Shiva Lingaa. Kedar Nath Shiva Lingaa formed by snow and Mawjyngbuin Shiva Linge formed by stone.

    After that back to Shillong for overnight stay.

  3. Day 3 Cherrapunjee

    Shillong - Smit - Latilum canyon - Jowai - Krangsuri Fall - Approx. 05 Hrs.

    After breakfast go for day excursion of shillong off beat location Smit:

    • The Laitlum canyons are literally translated as ‘End of Hills’, or ‘Edge of the World’. And it is fact that Laitlum nestled at great heights, and is surrounded by vast rocky hills and valleys.

    • Jowai - Krang Suri Waterfall

    After that go to Mawlynnong for Overnight Stay.

  4. Day 4 Guwahati

    Shillong - Mawlynnong - Dawki River – Single Decker - Approx. 06 Hrs.

    In the morning check-our from Mawlynnong and proceed to Mawlynnong Village the cleanest village in Asia:

    • Mawlynnong, a picturesque village located in East Khasi Hills along the India-Bangladesh border. Declared as the cleanest village in Asia by Discover India magazine in 2003, the modestly existing Mawlynnong has alternatively been known as 'God's own garden' too. Go for a short trek of the village and see the Khasi way of life and meet the locals.

    • Dawki and river Umgnot, with pictures of crystal clear waters popular in the social media. You can have a bath over here, enjoy local boating.

    • Single Decker Bridge - Right at the midway while going downhill, you’ll get a different path, indicating the route towards Single Decker Living Root Bridge.

    After that go to cherrapunjee and overnight Stay in Cherrapunjee.

  5. Day 5

    Double Decker Bridge – Trekking (Not advisable with small kids)

    After breakfast get ready for trekking:

    • DOUBLE DECKER BRIDGE - As the living root bridge and another strange natural phenomenon of a boulder balancing on another rock. Living Root Bridge, a natural bridge formed with the roots of the trees. A little hiking is required to see the magnificent bridge (hiking approx. 1 hour). Then visit the balancing rock, a small stone holding a big rock by balancing it on above it and the Tree House (watch tower) made by the local people of the village.

    • Rainbow Falls The trek to the Rainbow Falls: starts from Nongriat Double Decker Bridge and it will take 1 to 2 hours to complete the trek. The Double Decker Living Root Bridge in Nongriat village is accessible only by trek from Tyrna village. One needs to reach Tyrna by bus or cab. It is a 3 km challenging hike which includes around 3500 odd concrete steps one way. The total trek takes around 5 to 6 hours to complete.

    After that go to Cherrapunjee hotel and overnight stay in Cherrapunjee.

  6. Day 6

    Cherrapunjee Local Tour – Proceed to Guwahati - Approx. 05 Hrs.

    After breakfast check out from the hotel and proceed to Cherrapunjee local Tour:

    • Mawsmai cave: A major northeast tourist attraction, the Mawsmai cave is flocked by tourists throughout the year. Visit these surreal limestone constructions for a holistic holiday experience.

    • Arwah cave: The Arwah Cave in Cherrapunjee is a magnificent spot for all nature lovers. One can spot a diverse range of flora and fauna amidst these limestone stacks.

    • Nohkalikai Falls: At a height of 1115 feet, the Nohkalikai falls are the tallest plunge waterfall in India. Be dazzled by the beauty of this scenic force as you cherish this rare moment.

    • Seven Sisters Falls: Located south of the Mawsmai village, the Seven Sisters Falls is a vibrant spectacle. The fall at a height of 1033 feet plunges over the top of limestone cliffs of the Khasi Hills, but only during the rainy season.

    • Mawkdok Dympep Valley View / Duwan Sing Syiem Bridge: located at the very start of Sohra tourist circuit, is one of the most prominent attractions of the place. The forest department has made a view-point at this valley from where tourists can enjoy and appreciate the natural beauty of the valley. Most Tourists get the first view of the Mawkdok Dympep Valley, which extends right up to Cherrapunjee, from this view point. Getting a clear view is a matter of chance as mostly it is obscured by clouds.

    After that go to Guwahati and overnight stay in Guwahati.
