  1. Day 1 Shillong

    Arrival at Guwahati Airport - Proceed to Shillong - Approx. 03 Hrs.

    On arrival at Guwahati Airport our driver will pick you up from Guwahati Airport and proceed to the Shillong. After reaching Shillong, check-in to the hotel and overnight stay at Shillong.

    Guwahati is a sprawling city beside the Brahmaputra River in the northeast Indian state of Assam. It’s known for holy sites like the hilltop Kamakhya Temple, featuring shrines to the Hindu deities Shiva and Vishnu. To the east, 18th-century Navagraha Temple is an astronomical center with planetary shrines.

    Kamakhya Temple - The Kamakhya Temple also Kamrup-Kamakhya is a Hindu temple dedicated to the mother goddess. It is one of the oldest of the 51 Shakti Pithas. Situated on the Nilachal Hill in western part of Guwahati city in Assam, India, it is the main temple in a complex of individual temples dedicated to the ten Mahavidyas.

    Boating activities are open from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM The scenic Umiam Lake is encircled by lush green East Khasi hills that form one of the best panoramic sights for nature-lovers in the country. The sunrise at the lake is a treat to watch and shouldn't be missed. 

    Shillong is the capital of Meghalaya, and it?s the most urbanised area you will see in the entire state. Shillong has a lot of leftover British colonial influence that is evident from the plentiful British architecture.

  2. Day 2 Shillong

    Shillong – Mawphlang Forest - Mawsynram – Shillong - Approx. 05 Hrs.

    Today after breakfast get ready to Explore Mawphlang Scared Forest. After that back to shillong for overnight stay.

    Ward’s Lake is amongst the popular tourist attractions of Shillong which is a must-visit. It is also known as Pollock’s Lake (Nan Polok) because of a popular engineer during the per-independence era. It is said to be around a 100 years old.  The establishment of this lake was planned by the then Chief Commissioner of Assam, Sir William Ward. Construction was done by Colonel Hopkins in the year 1894.

    Elephant falls - Renamed as Elephant Falls by the British, who found it difficult to pronounce the local name, the waterfall is believed to have gotten its name from a huge elephant-shaped rock near it. The iconic Elephant Falls, which attract tourists in hordes to Shillong in Meghalaya, has now become an eyesore. The crystal clear water at the bottom of the falls, is now turning murky and smelly, thanks to pollution.

    Mawphlang Sacred Forest: Mawphlang Sacred Forest One of the most famous sacred forests is the Mawphlang Sacred Forest, about 25 kilometers from Shillong. Covering some 192 acres, the Mawphlang Sacred Forest, nestled in the East Khasi Hills near Mawphlang village, has its roots steeped deep in the age-old religious beliefs, in which forests are regarded as a sacred entity.

  3. Day 3 Mawlynnong

    Shillong - Smit - Latilum canyon - Jowai - Krangsuri Waterfall - Approx. 05 hrs.

    After breakfast check-out from Hotel and go for day excursion of shillong off beat location Smit:

    • The Laitlum canyons are literally translated as ‘End of Hills’, or ‘Edge of the World’. And it is fact that Laitlum nestled at great heights, and is surrounded by vast rocky hills and valleys.

    • Jowai - Krang Suri Waterfall

    • Jaintia Hills in Meghalaya is home to Nartiang Monoliths- a collection of monoliths that that are believed to be the tallest in the world. The monoliths in Jowai were erected to mark the reign of the erstwhile Jaintia kings.
    Monoliths are upright structures carved from one single stone that serve as a monument or pillar.

    After that go to Mawlynnong for Overnight Stay in Bamboo Cottage.

  4. Day 4 Cherrapunjee

    Mawlynnong - Dawki River – Single Decker - Cherrapunjee - Approx. 06 Hrs.

    (on this day breakfast not included in mawlynnong bamboo cottage) Check-out from the Bamboo Cottage and proceed to Mawlynnong Village the cleanest village in Asia:

    • Mawlynnong, a picturesque village located in East Khasi Hills along the India-Bangladesh border. Declared as the cleanest village in Asia by Discover India magazine in 2003, the modestly existing Mawlynnong has alternatively been known as 'God's own garden' too. Go for a short trek of the village and see the Khasi way of life and meet the locals.

    • Dawki and river Umgnot, with pictures of crystal clear waters popular in the social media. You can have a bath over here, enjoy local boating.

    • Single Decker Bridge - Right at the midway while going downhill, you’ll get a different path, indicating the route towards Single Decker Living Root Bridge.

    After that go to cherrapunjee and overnight Stay in Cherrapunjee.

  5. Day 5 Cherrapunjee

    Double Decker Bridge – Trekking (Not advisable with small kids)

    After breakfast get ready for trekking:

    • DOUBLE DECKER BRIDGE - As the living root bridge and another strange natural phenomenon of a boulder balancing on another rock. Living Root Bridge, a natural bridge formed with the roots of the trees. A little hiking is required to see the magnificent bridge (hiking approx. 1 hour). Then visit the balancing rock, a small stone holding a big rock by balancing it on above it and the Tree House (watch tower) made by the local people of the village.

    • Rainbow Falls The trek to the Rainbow Falls: starts from Nongriat Double Decker Bridge and it will take 1 to 2 hours to complete the trek. The Double Decker Living Root Bridge in Nongriat village is accessible only by trek from Tyrna village. One needs to reach Tyrna by bus or cab. It is a 3 km challenging hike which includes around 3500 odd concrete steps one way. The total trek takes around 5 to 6 hours to complete.

    After that go to Cherrapunjee hotel and overnight stay in Cherrapunjee.

  6. Day 6 Guwahati

    Cherrapunjee Local Tour – Proceed to Guwahati - Approx. 05 Hrs.

    After breakfast check out from the hotel and proceed to Cherrapunjee local Tour:

    • Mawsmai cave: A major northeast tourist attraction, the Mawsmai cave is flocked by tourists throughout the year. Visit these surreal limestone constructions for a holistic holiday experience.

    • Arwah cave: The Arwah Cave in Cherrapunjee is a magnificent spot for all nature lovers. One can spot a diverse range of flora and fauna amidst these limestone stacks.

    • Nohkalikai Falls: At a height of 1115 feet, the Nohkalikai falls are the tallest plunge waterfall in India. Be dazzled by the beauty of this scenic force as you cherish this rare moment.

    • Seven Sisters Falls: Located south of the Mawsmai village, the Seven Sisters Falls is a vibrant spectacle. The fall at a height of 1033 feet plunges over the top of limestone cliffs of the Khasi Hills, but only during the rainy season.

    • Mawkdok Dympep Valley View / Duwan Sing Syiem Bridge: located at the very start of Sohra tourist circuit, is one of the most prominent attractions of the place. The forest department has made a view-point at this valley from where tourists can enjoy and appreciate the natural beauty of the valley. Most Tourists get the first view of the Mawkdok Dympep Valley, which extends right up to Cherrapunjee, from this view point. Getting a clear view is a matter of chance as mostly it is obscured by clouds.

  7. Day 7

    Guwahati – Drop at Guwahati Airport/Railway Station - Approx. 01 Hrs.

    Today the the sightseeing totally depends on flight time.

    After breakfast check-out from the hotel and proceed toward to Umananda Temple:

    • Umananda Devaloi is a Shiva temple located at the Peacock Island in the middle of river Brahmaputra. It was built by the Ahom King Gadadhar Singha (1681–1696), who was a devout Shaivaite. It is known as smallest inhabited Riverine Island in the world. Country boats that are available on the bank of Brahmaputra take the visitors to the island. The mountain on which the temple has been built is known as Bhasmacala.

    • The Tirupati Balaji Temple is a magnificent temple of the city, Guwahati. This shrine is dedicated to Lord Venkateswara and is considered to be a very holy place for the Hindu pilgrims. The temple has a very unique architectural design and is built over a large area of land. At the entrance of the temple one can find a temple of Lord Ganesha. 


    After that you can go for local shopping also, after shopping proceed towards your return journey, will drop you at Guwahati Airport/Railway Station here is your trip will be end with a happy note.
