Explore Rangat Tourism
Rangat is a serene town located on the Middle Andaman Island of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, India. It is renowned for its lush greenery, unique biodiversity, and untouched beaches that stretch over an area of approximately 1070 square kilometers. Being part of a tropical archipelago, Rangat offers a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The town serves as a haven for eco-tourists with attractions like Amkunj Beach, known for its rocky formations and Dhani Nallah Mangrove Nature Walkway, which is a long wooden boardwalk meandering through mangrove forests leading to a pristine beach. Another significant location is the Cuthbert Bay Wildlife Sanctuary, a nesting ground for leatherback and other species of sea turtles. Rangat also acts as a crucial transit point connecting different parts of Andaman with regular bus and ferry services. It provides an authentic experience of the local culture and traditional lifestyle of the island's inhabitants. The community is actively engaged in conservation efforts, preserving the natural environment and promoting sustainable tourism. Despite being relatively less developed in terms of infrastructure compared to the capital, Port Blair, Rangat's natural beauty and calmness attract those looking for a retreat in the lap of nature.
