Day 1: Pickup from Bangalore Railway Station / Bus Station and proceed to Coorg. Check-in to Coorg hotel, after freshup proceed to visit below Coorg Sightseeing Places including:

. Tibetian Monastery / Golden Temple Located in Bylakuppe, the Namdroling Nyingmapa Monastery is the largest teaching center of the Nyingma lineage of Tibetan Buddhism in the world. Its initial structure was a temple constructed from bamboo, covering an area of approximately 80 square feet. Carved from the jungle that the Indian government generously granted Tibetan exiles, initial challenges included rampaging elephants and other tropical dangers. 2. Nisargadhama Forest Park The 64-acre island, surrounded by the Cauvery river, can be accessed by walking across a hanging bridge. Established in 1989, the picturesque picnic spot with lush foliage of thick bamboo groves, sandalwood and teak trees has lovely river-side cottages. Elephant rides and boating are some of the other attractions.. 3. Dubare Elephant Camp The elephant camp boasts of plenty of elephants and offers tourists with an exceptional opportunity to be close to them and spend some memorable moments with them. It is the place where elephants used to be trained for Mysore Dussehra. However, now these animals are used for jungle rides. These elephants are trained under naturalists. 4. White Water River Rafting Coorg, located in a mountainous region is one of the sought out places for Whitewater Rafting, as the gradient offers the best conditions for speedy waters flowing over rocks causing drops in the river known as rapids in rafting, running through these rapids is what makes rafting an adventure to remember. 5. Omkareshwara Temple The Omkareshwara Temple is an ancient shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is situated in the town of Madikeri in Coorg, Karnataka. The speciality of the temple is that its construction reflects a mix of Gothic and Islamic styles. The Omkareshwara Temple was constructed by King Linga Rajendra II in the 18th century. Legend has it that the temple was built by the king as a form of penance.

Talakaveri Temple / Waterfalls Talakaveri is said to be the source of River Cauvery. Although the source that is the flow of water is not always visible. During rainy season, one can get a glimpse of the same. River Cauvery is one of the seven sacred rivers of Sapta Sindhus belonging to the Hindu scriptures. 2. Triveni Sangam On the way back from Talacauvery, lies the Triveni Sangam (also called as Bhagamandala). It is the confluence of three rivers- Cauvery, Kannike and the mythical river Sujyothi. 3. Sri Bhagandeshwara Temple Known for the confluence of three rivers Kanike, Cauvery and Sujyothi. The temple reflects the Kerala style of architecture and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The place has been named after Sri Bhaganda Maharishi who lived there along with his disciples. 4. Raja Seat Located in the town of Madikeri, it is a beautiful place presenting a refreshing setting and soothing environment. The place is called as Raja’s Seat because it was the place where Coorg’s kings used to visit and enjoy the beautiful scenic beauty around. The sunset and sunrise make for mesmerising view which is worth captivating in your cameras. 5. Abbey Falls The river is part of the early reaches of the river Kaveri. Flow is much higher during the monsoon season. Abhi waterfall is located between private coffee plantations with stocky coffee bushes and spice estates with trees entwined with pepper vines. A hanging bridge constructed just opposite the falls 6. Madikeri Fort It was first built in the last quarter of 17th century by Muddu Raja. There was a palace built inside the fort as well. It was rebuilt into fort of stone and bricks by Tipu Sultan, who gave for the name of Jaffarabad.In 1814, the fort was built with mortar and bricks by the Linga Rajendra Wodeyar II. 7. Shopping @ Coorg One of the favourite things about vacationing in Coorg is having access to a plethora of shopping havens that are unique to the city. With its sprawling coffee estates, Coorg happens to be one of the major producers of coffee in India. On top of every shopper’s list for Coorg is the world famous variety of coffee.
