6 Nights 7 Days Lachung Tour Package Itinerary
Day 1: NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra – Gangtok (5500 Ft /1677 Mts, 135 Kms / 4½ -5 Hrs).
On arrival at NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport you will be received by our office executive who will assist you to board your vehicle to Gangtok. Upon arrival proceed to the hotel for check-in; the evening is free for leisure. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
Day 2: Excursion to Tshangu Lake and Baba Mandir
After breakfast, in the morning, start for excursion to Tshangu Lake and Baba Mandir , The cool water of the Lake is perfectly attuned with the scenic beauty around. Back to Gangtok and Overnight at Hotel. (Incase of Landslide or due to any other reasons if Tshangu Lake is closed then an alternate sightseeing will be provided) Nathula pass tour is optional tour (not included in the package, Foreighner not allowed )
Day 3: Gangtok-Lachung :
Pick up from Gangtok to proceed towards Lachung. On the way to Lachung you will enjoy with the confluence of rivers Lachen chu and Lachung chu at Chungthang, Twin waterfalls and Bhim Nala Waterfalls. In spring the valley erupts in riots of colors as Primulae, Rhododendrons and many other Alpine flowers in full bloom along with snow covered valley except in autumn, You are likely to reach Lachung late in the afternoon or evening. Upon arrival proceed for check-in at hotel. Overnight stay in Lachung.
Day 4: Sight Seeing at Yumthang & Transfer to Gangtok :
After breakfast drive towards Yumthang situated at an elevation of nearly 11800 feet - Yumthang is a valley near the river Lachung Chu surrounded by mountains where the tree line ends - During winter Yumthang is somber with snow all around and the snow clad mountains adding to the ethereal beauty - Return to resort at Lachung for Lunch – Transfer to Gangtok – Reach Gangtok in the evening – Check into hotel – Night stay at Gangtok.
Day 5: Gangtok Sightseen transfer to Darjeeling
After breakfast at hotel you will d visit Research Institute of Tibetology (Closed on Sunday & govt. Holidays), Do-Drul Chorten, Directorate of Handicrafts & Handloom (Closed on Sunday & Govt. Holidays), Flower Show. transfer to Darjeeling via Tista river you may enjoy river rafting by paying supplementary cost on the spot later trasnfer to Darjeeling . over night stay at hotel at Darjeeing .
Day 6: Darjeeling Sightseeing:
Early Morning at 04:00 AM visit Tiger Hill, famous for sunrise over Mt. Kanchendzonga, on way back visit Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop and back to hotel. After breakfast proceed for visit The Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, PNZ Zoological Park (closed on Thursday) Tenzing Rock, Tibetans Refuge Centre (closed on Sunday), Tea Garden (outer view), Rope way, Japanese Temple & Peace Pagoda. Overnight stay in Darjeeling.
Day 7: Drop to Airport/ Njp :
After breakfast at hotel transfer to NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport for your onward journey. As you go home let the everlasting memory of the radiant Himalayas and this beautiful serene place linger in your mind and prompt you now and again to revisit this place.
