Zero Point (Yumesamdong) Tourism

Yumesamdong, more commonly known as Zero Point, is a pristine natural spectacle rich in snow-clad mountains and ethereal beauty located near Lachung in the Northeast Indian state of Sikkim. It is the place where three roads converge at an altitude of over 15,300 feet, bringing travelers to awe-inspiring views of rugged terrain swept by winding rivers – a panorama that is both treacherous and enchanting. The area is largely unspoiled by human presence due to its harsh conditions and geographical challenges, allowing visitors to experience nature at its rawest. Zero Point remains uncommercialized, adding to its mystical allure. This serene landscape becomes a snowy wonderland during winter months while summers offer a kaleidoscope of flowering rhododendrons and other alpine flora. It is often considered the last outpost of civilization as it is very close to the Indo-China border and is devoid of any permanent human settlement.
