drive to Dachigam National Park. Located 22 kms from Srinagar city, the park was once the private game preserve of Maharaja Gulab Singh. The park is situated at altitude ranging from 5500 ft to 14,000 ft. Due to the variation in altitude, the park is demarcated into upper and lower regions. The best time to visit the park is: upper Dachigam from months of May till August; lower Dachigam from months of September till December. Bird watching is best in the months of March till May. The park is popular as the home of the rare and critically endangered Hangul or Kashmir stag. The other famous attractions of the park are Himalayan Black Bear, Markhor, Ibex and exotic birds. Enjoy the safari at Dachigam National Park. After enjoy we drive to visit Manasbal Lake. The lake is paradise for bird watchers.
