This morning, After Breakfast drive from the land of tea plantations into the heart of the spice hills in Thekkady. The rest of the afternoon is free to enjoy a walk through the bustling spice market of Kumily village in Thekkady or you have the option of taking a boat cruise on Lake Periyar which is the best way to locate wildlife in Periyar Sanctuary (boats can be hired directly there).

In the morning After Breakfast you will be transferred to your resort in Kumarakom. The rest of the day is free to absorb the serenity of your beautiful resort. Kumarakom the charming emerald peninsula jutting into the ever-effervescent Vembanad Lake takes you into the heart of the scenic lake where you'll come across plenty of traditional country crafts, boats and canoes. Sightseeing in Kumarakom include Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, an ornithologist's paradise is a favourite haunt of migratory birds like the siberian stork, egret, darter, heron and teal. After breakfast proceed for Houseboat for Backwater experience. You have to check into the Houseboat before 12:00 Noon. Drop your car at the Jetty point. Full day enjoy the backwater life through the Houseboat. Night stay at Houseboat. – Cruising will be permitted from 12:30 to 5:30 PM, All meals will be served in Houseboat – Please clear your meal preference at the time of booking in houseboat.
