It also houses the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, which is a favorite for avifauna enthusiasts. The lake's ecosystem supports a variety of flora and fauna, including the pearl spot fish, prawns, and other crustaceans.

Lovely sun cruise in a shikkara boat the best time for a sun set cruise is 5:00pm to 6:30 pm If you visiting Kumarakom a must do activity.
