Explore Jim Corbett Tourism

Jim Corbett National Park is a renowned wildlife sanctuary located in the district of Nainital, Uttarakhand, India. Established in 1936 as Hailey National Park to protect the endangered Bengal tiger, it is the oldest national park in India. Named after the legendary British hunter-turned-conservationist, Jim Corbett, the park covers an area of 521 square kilometers and boasts a diverse landscape with hills, marshy depressions, riverine belts, grasslands, and a large lake. It is part of the larger Corbett Tiger Reserve, which includes the park itself and the surrounding protected areas. Rich in flora and fauna, the park is a haven for biodiversity; with around 110 tree species, 50 species of mammals, 580 bird species, and 25 reptile species. The Ramganga River flows through the park, providing vital sustenance for the wildlife. Safari tours are a popular activity in Corbett, allowing visitors to spot elephants, various deer species, leopards, and if lucky, the elusive Bengal tiger. The park is an epitome of robust conservation efforts and offers an unforgettable experience with nature.
