Sitabani Wildlife Reserve is a part of the larger Corbett Landscape, located in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand, India. Unlike the Jim Corbett National Park, it is not governed by the forest department but by the local village community. This reserve is an ideal spot for wildlife enthusiasts and bird watchers. It has a rich diversity of flora and fauna, including a variety of birds, elephants, tigers, leopards, and other wildlife, amid dense deciduous forests, beautiful rivers, and rugged trails. Sitabani also carries historical and mythological significance as it is believed to be the place where Goddess Sita spent her days of exile and where the epic battle between Lord Rama and the demon King Ravana's army took place. The forest also contains ancient temples, which are a draw during the Ramnavami festival.
