10 Nights 11 Days Thekkady Tour Package Itinerary
Day 1: Cochin
On arrival at Cochin Airport or Ernakulam Railway Station, take a transfer to your hotel. Check into the hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Later in the afternoon, go on a sightseeing tour of Cochin and visit the attractions like the Dutch Palace, St. Francis Church, Jewish Synagogue and Chinese fishing nets on the harbor. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Cochin-Munnar (130 km/approx. 4 hour drive)
Early Morning Pickup from Hotel and then proceed on a drive through the picturesque countryside of Munnar. Enroute, Visit Valara Waterfalls to Munnar. Arrive & check-in to the hotel. Visit tea plantations in the evening at Devikulam. Thereafter enjoy a comfortable overnight at your hotel
Day 3: Munnar | Local sightseeing tour
After breakfast at the hotel, proceed for local sightseeing tour covering Maatupetty Dam & Echo Point. Visit TATA Tea Museum. The museum is closed on Monday. Also visit Eravikulam National Park to get a view of variety of flora and fauna. Enjoy the evening at leisure. Stay overnight at your hotel in Munnar.
Day 4: Munnar - Thekkady | Spice Plantation Tour & Periyar Lake (110 km/3.5 hours)
After breakfast, proceed to Thekkady. En route visit Nedumkandam Chillies Spice Garden for a brief spice plantation tour. Arrive in Thekkady & check-in to your hotel. In the afternoon, proceed for a boat ride (to be paid directly ) on Periyar Lake situated inside the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. Enjoy a confortable overnight stay at the hotel in Thekkady.
Day 5: Thekkady - Alleppey Houseboat (156 km/ 4 hour drive)
After an appetizing breakfast, check out of the hotel. Drive to Kumarakom/Alleppey and arrive by afternoon. Check-in to the Houseboat and enjoy rest of the day at leisure. Stay overnight at the houseboat
Day 6: Allepey
After an appetizing breakfast, the houseboat will transfer you to the resort in Allepey. Check into the hotel and enjoy rest of the day at leisure. Or go for an hour-long evening boat cruise on the backwaters (on direct payment basis) After this, return to your hotel where you may opt for a traditional Ayurvedic Massage(on direct payment basis) or simply go to sleep after a delicious dinner. Day 7: Alleppey -Kovalam (190 km/approx. 5 hour drive)
After enjoying breakfast, drive to Kovalam (a delightful beach town located 16 km away from Thiruvananthapuram) and upon arrival, check-in to a hotel. After resting a while, set out to indulge in some beach activities at the Kovalam Beach. Thereafter, return to the hotel for a comfortable overnight stay.
Day 8: Kovalam
After a hearty breakfast, take a stroll down the beautiful beaches of Kovalam that has been divided into three parts - Lighthouse Beach, Hawah Beach and the Samudra Beach. Finally, after witnessing the Vizhinjam Lighthouse and mosque besides some other attractions located around the beach, drive back to Kovalam in the evening and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay.
Day 9: Kovalam - Kanyakumari - Kovalam
After a hearty breakfast, embark on the adventurous excursion to Kanyakumari. Return to Kovalam.
Day 10: Kovalam-Cochin (290 km /approx. 7-8 Hrs drive)
