5 Nights 6 Days Thekkady Tour Package Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Cochin
On arrival at Cochin Airport or Ernakulam Railway Station, take a transfer to your hotel. Check into the hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Later in the afternoon, go on a sightseeing tour of Cochin and visit the attractions like the Dutch Palace, St. Francis Church, Jewish Synagogue and Chinese fishing nets on the harbor. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Cochin-Munnar (130 km/approx. 4 hour drive)
Early Morning Pickup from Hotel and then proceed on a drive through the picturesque countryside of Munnar. Enroute, Visit Valara Waterfalls to Munnar. Arrive & check-in to the hotel. Visit tea plantations in the evening at Devikulam. Thereafter enjoy a comfortable overnight at your hotel.
Day 3: Munnar | Local sightseeing tour
After breakfast at the hotel, proceed for local sightseeing tour covering Maatupetty Dam & Echo Point. Visit TATA Tea Museum. The museum is closed on Monday. Also visit Eravikulam National Park to get a view of variety of flora and fauna. Enjoy the evening at leisure. Stay overnight at your hotel in Munnar.
Day 4: Munnar - Thekkady | Spice Plantation Tour & Periyar Lake (110 km/3.5 hours)
After breakfast, proceed to Thekkady. En route visit Nedumkandam Chillies Spice Garden for a brief spice plantation tour. Arrive in Thekkady & check-in to your hotel. In the afternoon, proceed for a boat ride (to be paid directly ) on Periyar Lake situated inside the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. Enjoy a confortable overnight stay at the hotel in Thekkady.
Day 5: Thekkady - Kumarakom/Alleppey (156 km/ 4 hour drive)
After a sumptous breakfast, check out of the hotel. Drive to Kumarakom/Alleppey and reach by afternoon. Check into the hotel and enjoy rest of the day at leisure. Or go for an hour-long evening boat cruise on the backwaters (on direct payment basis) After this, return to your hotel where you may opt for a traditional Ayurvedic Massage(on direct payment basis) or simply go to sleep after a delicious dinner. Day 6: Allepey - Cochin (75 km/2 hours)
