Tawang, located in the northwestern part of Arunachal Pradesh, India, is known for its breathtaking landscapes and rich cultural heritage. At an elevation of about 2,669 meters above sea level, it is home to the famous Tawang Monastery, which is the largest monastery in India and the second largest in the world after the Potala Palace in Lhasa, Tibet.
