  Breathtaking beauty

  As i have never seen snow, was very eager to visit here. There is a army canteen where we can get refreshments. Good washrooms also. A instagram worthy place. It's at an altitude of 11,700 ft. You might experience altitude sickness. On the way from dirang to Sela pass, you see lots of mountains - some of them snow capped. It's quite calming

  Friends trips to tawang

  It's a lovely experience. It's at a height of 13500 feet so when you reach there from bomdilla you may feel a bit of mountain sickness.. The Indian Army stand guard. A small army canteen is located there .. Beautiful pass with beautiful lakes and mountains

  Dissapointing rainy weather

  This is nothing to do with the place but more with the weather. I visited this place Arunachal in late June 2023. I know it would rain as the forecast said but I didn’t expect it to Arunachal to be hot. On the way to Dirang from Assam, it was very hot despite the rainy cloudy weather, 30 degrees or more. Dirang was very pretty, but almost 24 degrees, not what i personally enjoy in the mountains. The route to Tawang was absolute gorgeous, very alps like but again the weather just did not match with the scenery. When it looks like a cold cozy weather from the car, the temperature is more than 15 or even 20 degree celsius. Constant heavy rains and zero visibility. It was pointless to go visit any place due to that. I was hoping I’d get to see at least some snow capped mountains but got nothing but bad disappointing weather. Tawang does get cold 16 degrees- 8 degrees. Sela pass also in single digits: 10 degrees- 2 degrees. But not cold enough for it to snow. Sela was pretty boring without all that snow. I mean, still pretty, but it’s not a wow. And if you visit Arunachal in your car or rental, be prepared to be disappointed as you can’t really go to all the pretty places by yourself. We were told we had to pay 5k or more for taxi to go anywhere beyond Tawang. Regardless of the price, I wanted to go there myself, and was disappointed I couldn’t because there’s not much you can do in Tawang if you don’t get to see those places. Would I suggest you visit Arunachal? Absolutely. I never expected so much greenery in the mountains and it was gorgeous. But would I suggest you visit in June? Well if you wanna experience colder weathers and get to see better views, then monsoon is just not the time for that Hope this helped :)

  Sela pass-natural beauty

  Wonderful place to spend few hours on the way to Tawang. Most of the time it is with full of snow. The lake at such height with adjacent mountain gives an excellent treat to the eyes
