9 Nights 10 Days Cochin Tour Package Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Cochin
Upon arrival at Cochin airport or Ernakulam railway station, you will be transferred to your hotel. Later in the day, enjoy a half-day city tour of Cochin visiting the St. Francis Church, the Mattencherry Palace, the Jewish Synagogue and Chinese fishing nets.
Day 2: Cochin-Munnar (130 km/approx. 4 hour drive)
Arrive in Cochin and then proceed on a drive through the picturesque countryside of Munnar. Enroute, stop for refreshments. Visit Valara Waterfalls enroute to Munnar. Arrive & check-in to the hotel. Visit tea plantations in the evening at Devikulam. Thereafter enjoy a comfortable overnight at your hotel.
Day 3: Munnar | Local sightseeing tour
After breakfast at the hotel, proceed for local sightseeing tour covering Maatupetty Dam & Echo Point. Visit TATA Tea Museum. Enjoy the evening at leisure. Stay overnight at your hotel in Munnar.
Day 4: Munnar - Thekkady | Spice Plantation Tour & Periyar Lake (110 km/3.5 hours)
After breakfast, proceed to Thekkady. En route visit Nedumkandam Chillies Spice Garden for a brief spice plantation tour. Arrive in Thekkady & check-in to your hotel. In the afternoon, proceed for a boat ride (to be paid directly ) on Periyar Lake situated inside the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. Enjoy a confortable overnight stay at the hotel in Thekkady.
Day 5: Thekkady - Alleppey Houseboat (156 km/ 4 hour drive)
After an appetizing breakfast, drive to Allepey which is endowed with immense natural beauty and an array of rivers, canals and lakes ideal for boat cruise. On arrival, check into a traditional Kerala-style houseboat and cruise through the backwaters - a fabulous way to explore the fascinating beauty of the backwaters. Stay overnight in the houseboat.
Day 6: Allepey
After an appetizing breakfast, will transfer you to the resort in Allepey. Enjoy rest of the day at leisure. Relax in the serenity of the beautiful resort.
Day 7: Alleppey -Kovalam (190 km/approx. 5 hour drive)
After enjoying breakfast, drive to Kovalam (a delightful beach town located 16 km away from Thiruvananthapuram) and upon arrival, check-in to a hotel. Enroute, visit The Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple, Trivandrum Zoo, Shanghumukham beach, etc. at Trivandrum. Upon arrival, Check-in to your hotel.
Day 8: Kovalam (excusion to Kanyakumari)
After a hearty breakfast, embark on the adventurous excursion to Kanyakumari. Enroute visit the magnificent Padmanabhapuram Palace & Archeological museum. Evening free at leisure. Return to Kovalam. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 9: Kovalam
After a hearty breakfast, take a stroll down the beautiful beaches of Kovalam that has been divided into three parts - Lighthouse Beach, Hawah Beach and the Samudra Beach. Finally, after witnessing the Vizhinjam Lighthouse and mosque besides some other attractions located around the beach, drive back to Kovalam in the evening and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay.
Day 10: Kovalam-Trivandrum Departure (16 kms/ 45 min approx)
After an appetizing breakfast, check out of the hotel. Drive to Trivandrum and transfer to railway station/airport for onward journey. The tour concludes with memories unlimited!
