Day 1: Delhi - Dalhousie (559KM12-13Hrs.)

Day 2: Dalhousie – Khajjiar – Kalatop

Today morning after breakfast full day excursion to Khajjiar & kalatop. Kalatop Khajjiar Sanctuary -Is a 30.69 km at Kalatop and Khajjiar in the Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, India. The sanctuary area is well laid out for trekking trails both at Kalatop and Khajjiar. There is a dense deodar and fir forest covering 19.63 km² of the sanctuary, which is about 6 km from Dalhousie. Pheasants, serow and black bear are some of the common animals found here. The sanctuary lies in the path of the Ravi River, and is surrounded by coniferous and oak forests. Khajjiar- Khajjiar Lake is situated in Khajjiar, in Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, India. It is situated at a height of around 1,920 m above sea level between Dalhousie and Chamba Town. The lake is set in a huge grassy landscape, with evergreen cedar trees surrounding it from all sides. The lake takes its name from Khajji Nag, the deity in the temple nearby. It is known as mini Switzerland of India.

Day 3: Dalhousie- Chamba (52KM1-2Hrs.)

Chamba is one of the popular excursion routes that take the tourist through the mountainous regions of Dalhousie to the city of Chamba. The region is resplendent in scenic beauty and has also inherited the rich architectural heritage of the state. A trip from Dalhousie to Chamba is one of the most frequented tours from Dalhousie. The city of Chamba is located at a distance of 56 kilometers from the hill town of Dalhousie. With the religious site, architectural extravaganzas and the exotic palaces, the city of Chamba is known as the ornamental jewel in the heart of the state. The foundation of the city was laid in the 10th century by Raja Sahil Verman who named the city after his daughter, Champavati. The Chaugan or the promenade lies in the center of the town. The sacred temples and the magnificent palaces can be visited by the tourists while on a tour of the city of Chamba. The Lakshminarayan temples retain the old world charm of the 10th and the 11th centuries in which it was constructed. The temples are dedicated to the worship of Lord Shiva and Vishnu. The Rang Mahal is one of the most popular palaces of the region that was constructed in the year 1750. The interiors of the palace are ornamented with inlaid motifs and designs that are typical of the archaic style of architecture of the region. The tourists may also visit the Bhuri Singh museum which is the repository of the art and aesthetic heritage of Chamba.

Day 4: Dalhousie- Dharamshala (120 KM 3-4 Hrs)

It is known as "Little Lhasa" or "Dhasa" because of its large population of Tibetans. The Tibetan government-in-exile is headquartered in McLeod Ganj Bhagsunag Temple: - Located in the serene town of Dharamshala, Bhagsunag Temple is believed to be an ancient temple where Lord Shiva had prevailed himself. Hence, this sacred temple is a much-worshipped place among the Hindu pilgrims for its exciting history and sacredness. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 5: Dharamshala – Kangra (20KM)

On the way you can visit Brijeshwari Mata temple, The Kangra Fort, Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium St. John in the Wilderness:- Is a Church of North India church dedicated to John the Baptist built in 1852, located near Dharamshala, India, on the way to McLeodGanj, at Forsyth Gunj. Set amidst deodar forest, and built in neo-Gothic architecture, the church is known for its Belgian stained-glass windows donated by Lady Elgin (Mary Louisa Lambton), wife of Lord Elgin. Though the church structure survived the 1905 Kangra earthquake, which killed close to 19,800 people, injured thousands in the Kangra area, and destroyed most buildings in Kangra, Mcleodganj and Dharamshala; its spire, Bell tower, was however destroyed. Later, a new bell, cast in 1915 by Mears and Stainbank, was brought from England and installed outside in the compound of the church The Kangra Fort: - Was built by the royal Rajput family of Kangra State (the Katoch dynasty), which traces its origins to the ancient Trigarta Kingdom, mentioned in the Mahabharata epic. It is the largest fort in the Himalayas and probably the oldest dated fort in India. The Brijeshwari Devi:-Temple located in the old Kangra Township, is said to have been built over the charred breasts of Sati. This shrine, once renowned for its great wealth, has been plundered relentlessly over the ages. The first of the plunderers was Mahmud of Ghazni, who looted it in 1009. A mosque was built on the ruins and a garrison was left behind. 35 years later, the local king regained its possession. The shrine was repaired and a replica of the idol was enshrined.
