Day 1: Arrival to Cochin | Cochin to Munnar (130km/ 4hrs) Upon your Arrival at Cochin Airport / Ernakulam railway station, meet our Representative and proceed to Munnar, a beautiful hill station. On the way enjoy some waterfalls and natural scenic spots from Kochi to Munnar. Visit Cheeyapara and Valara waterfalls on the way. You will pass through the photo point, tea plantations and viewpoints. Check in to the hotel and spend rest of day at leisure. Highlights of the Day: • Cheeyappara waterfalls(Small sized waterfalls. Day 2 : Munnar sightseeing After having sumptuous breakfast, proceed for a visit to Eravikulam National Park(Closed for Feb and March due to breeding session), which is home to various endemic species like Nilgiri Pipit and black and orange flycatcher. Later in the afternoon, visit famous places of Munnar like Mattupetty Dam, Tea estates, Eco point, Spice Plantation, Rose Garden, Photo Point, Tea Museum, Blossom Park, Kundale Dam. After a day with visit to picturesque places of Munnar, return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay. After early breakfast, check out of the hotel and drive to Thekkady. On arrival, check in to the hotel and have a lunch. In the afternoon, proceed for a boat cruise through Periyar Lake at Thekkady (on your own). This one is sure to be a soul stirring tour with cool breezes blowing by. Thekkady is synonymous with wildlife and nature treks. During the cruise you may stopover at this fascinating town to witness the wild animals in their natural habitat. Later in the evening, you will be taken to the theatre to experience a traditional Kathakali performance/ Martial art show (on your own). Return to your hotel by evening and spend the rest of the day at leisure. After having an early breakfast, check out of the hotel and proceed to Allepey. Check in to the Houseboat and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure in houseboat. Alleppey Houseboat cruise is the best way to explore the beauty of backwaters. Cruising along the backwaters of Alleppey is a quintessential experience. After having breakfast, check out of the houseboat and proceed for a quick half-day sightseeing tour of Fort Kochi, Mattancherry Palace, Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue, St. Francis Church and Chinese fishing nets. In the evening visit famous Princess Street, Marine drive and bustling MG Road to explore the local markets and enjoy some local Keralan cuisine (on your own). Return to the hotel for delectable dinner and comfortable overnight stay.
