The original Tsutenkaku, built in 1912, was inspired by the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe, but was destroyed in a fire in 1943. The current tower, completed in 1956, reflects post-war optimism and economic recovery. The tower stands 103 meters tall and features an observation deck that offers panoramic views of Osaka.
