Kovalam is a renowned beach town by the Arabian Sea in Thiruvananthapuram City, which is the capital of the state of Kerala in India. This serene paradise is situated approximately 16 km from the city center and is famous for its three adjacent crescent-shaped shallow water and low tidal beaches. Among them, Lighthouse Beach is the most popular, easily distinguished by its 35-meter high lighthouse situated on a rocky promontory. The other two beaches are Hawah Beach and Samudra Beach.
