Valiyathura Pier Tourism

Valiyathura Pier, located in the coastal town of Valiyathura in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, stands as a historical landmark. This old seaport, also known as Valiyathura Sea Bridge, evokes nostalgia with its rustic charm, stretching approximately 703 feet into the Arabian Sea. Built during World War II, it was once the only port along the southern coast of Thiruvananthapuram. Although the pier is not in use for trading purposes anymore, it attracts plenty of tourists, photographers, and local fishermen. The view from the pier, especially at sunset, is breathtaking. Valiyathura Pier provides a serene escape, where visitors can enjoy the sight of the waves crashing below and the panoramic view of the coastline. Fishermen still use parts of the pier for their daily catch, which adds to the pier's lively ambience.
