The Vizhinjam Rock Cut Cave, located near Kovalam in Kerala, India, is an ancient historic site that dates back to the 18th century. It is an unfinished shrine, dedicated to the Hindu god Vinandhara Dakshinamurthi, which is a form of Lord Shiva. Carved from a single granite block, the cave features intricate carvings and reliefs, including a half-finished sculpture of Lord Shiva with the Goddess Parvathi, revealing the exceptional artistry of early South Indian temple architecture. Good for a small trip
Be prepared for the place to be locked. It is a small place not much but a few snaps and few minutes to see. It can be a part of another trip but not a single focus trip.
