9 Nights 10 Days Sonmarg Tour Package Itinerary
Day 1: Srinagar Arrival
You will be met by our representative at the Srinagar airport. He will assist and transfer you to the deluxe hotel. In the afternoon you take a shikara ride on Dal Lake which is complimentary, where you visit the floating vegetable gardens. While riding the Shikara’s there are plenty of opportunities for bird watching with plentiful species including Kingfisher, Little Bittern, Common Pariah Kites, Grebe etc. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
Day 2: Srinagar Sightseeing
Morning sightseeing of the Mughal Gardens, visiting Nishat Bagh built by Asaf Khan, the brother -in- law of Jehangir in 1632 AD, and Shalimar Bagh built by Jehangir for his wife empress Nur Jahan. All the gardens are situated on the banks of the Dal Lake with the Zabarwan hills in the background. Afternoon will be at your leisure for individual activities. Dinner and overnight in Hotel
Day 3: Srinagar - Gulmarg
Morning leave for Gulmarg (Meadow of Flowers) 2730 mts. above the sea level. The distance of 60 kms will be covered in about 2 hours. Gulmarg has one of the best ski slopes in the world and highest golf course with 18 holes. If weather permits one can also have the view of Nanga Parbat, the naked mountain that is over 26,000 feets and dominates the entire region, also enjoy cable car (Gondola) for mountain ride upto khilangmarg. In the evening drive back to Srinagar. Overnight in hotel.
Day 4: Gulmarg - Srinagar
After early breakfast enjoy the local sightseeing of Gulmarg . In the afternoon drive back to Srinagar . Dinner and Overnight stay at Srinagar
Day 5: Srinagar-Sonmarg
Sonmarg, which means 'meadow of gold' has, as its backdrop, snowy mountains against a cerulean sky. The Sindh meanders along here and abounds with trout and mahseer, snow trout can be caught in the main river. In late April when Sonmarg is open for road transport, the visitors can have access to snow which is furnished all over like a white carpet. Private vehicles are not allowed. Visitors have to hire taxi and it is controlled by taxi mafia. Ponies can be hired for the trip up to Thajiwas glacier a major attraction during the summer months.
Day 6: Sonmarg- Srinagar
After early breakfast enjoy Sonmarg sightseeing. In the afternoon drive back to Srinagar . Dinner and Overnight stay at Srinagar
Day 7: Srinagar-Pahalgam
After breakfast drive to Pahalgam. On the way visit Saffron fields, Avantipur ruins and Anantnag sulpher spring. Pahalgam is the most famous place for Indian Film Industry. Enjoy the nature charm of the valley.Overnight stay in Pahalgam at hotel.
Day 8: Pahalgam - Srinagar
After breakfast drive back to Srinagar.. In evening you will have a 1 hour shikara ride that is complimentary from our end. Dinner and Overnight stay in Houseboat.
Day 9: Srinagar Sightseeing - Day 2
After early breakfast drive towards Shankaracharya temple , Dargah Shareef , Famous Jamia Masjid. In the afternoon you will have a visit to famous Dal Lake and will have a complimntary 1 hour Shikara ride in Dal Lake. Dinner and Overnight stay in Houseboat
Day 10: Departure
After breakfast transfer to Srinagar airport to catch your onward flights.
