Satsar Lake is a collection of seven alpine lakes situated in the Ganderbal district of Jammu and Kashmir, India. These lakes are part of the Kashmir Great Lakes Trek and lie in the Zanskar mountain range. They are connected intricately within the rocky mountain terrain and span a large area, known for their pristine beauty and untouched environment. 'Sat' means 'seven' and 'Sar' means 'lake' in the local language, aptly naming the cluster that cascades from one to the next. These lakes are surrounded by lush green meadows and home to a variety of flora and fauna. The area is quite remote, offering an authentic experience of nature. The water in these lakes is crystal clear, with the surface reflecting the breathtaking panorama of snow-capped peaks. The terrain around Satsar Lakes is a mix of rocky outcrops, gentle slopes, and sharp ascents.
