Al Saleh Mosque, located in Sana'a, the capital of Yemen, is a marvel of modern Islamic architecture and one of the largest and most magnificent mosques in the country. Completed in November 2008 during the presidency of Ali Abdullah Saleh, after whom it is named, the mosque can accommodate more than 40,000 worshippers. It covers a total area of approximately 27,300 square meters and has a central hall that is surrounded by outdoor prayer areas. The mosque features six minarets, each soaring to a height of 100 meters, making them visible from various points in the city. These minarets are among the tallest in the world. The structure is adorned with elaborate Yemeni decorations and inscriptions that are characteristic of Islamic architecture. Its domes and the glass-stained windows contribute to its aesthetic allure and grandeur. The mosque is also equipped with a library and a school, offering educational and religious services to the community. The Al Saleh Mosque's lights illuminate the surroundings in the evening, giving it an ethereal glow that enhances its spiritual ambiance.
