Best Time To Visit Alishan Forest Railway Garage Park (Chiayi) In 2026 - 2027

The Alishan Forest Railway Garage Park, located in Chiayi, Taiwan, is best visited during two distinct periods: the spring and the autumn seasons. Visiting in spring, which occurs from March to May, travelers will experience the park's natural beauty coming to life. During these months, cherry blossoms are in full bloom and provide a spectacular display of pinks and whites, making it a perfect time for photography enthusiasts and nature lovers. The temperature is comfortably cool, varying from 10 to 20 degrees Celsius (50 to 68 degrees Fahrenheit), offering a refreshing escape from the city's hustle.

In contrast, the autumn months of October to November are equally appealing. During this season, the park is transformed with a palette of reds, oranges, and yellows as the leaves change color, providing visitors with a breathtaking autumnal landscape. The weather is crisp and pleasant, with minimal rainfall, ensuring uninterrupted explorations and the chance to enjoy the park's scenic mountain railways, hiking trails, and outdoor exhibits. Whether seeking serenity amidst nature's vibrant hues or an engaging cultural experience through the historical railways, these seasons offer the optimal Alishan experience.
