How To Reach Amla Ruins

Traveling to Amla Ruins, Ibri, Oman

Located in the Al Dhahirah region of Oman, the Amla Ruins represent the remains of an ancient settlement known for its historical significance. Ibri is approximately 2 hours drive from Muscat, the capital of Oman.

By Air:

The nearest international airport is Muscat International Airport. Upon arrival at the airport, visitors can continue their journey to Ibri by road.

By Road:

Renting a Car: This is the most convenient way to reach the Amla Ruins as it allows flexibility and comfort. Car rental services are available at Muscat International Airport and various locations within Muscat. The trip to Ibri typically takes around 2-3 hours depending on traffic and speeds.

Taxis: Taxis can be hired from Muscat to Ibri. It is advisable to agree on the fare beforehand. For a more comfortable experience, visitors might prefer to book through licensed taxi companies or apps.

Public Buses: There is also an option of taking public buses operated by the Oman National Transport Company.
