The Armani/Silos Museum is a fashion art museum dedicated to the Armani style, located in Milan, Italy. Inaugurated in 2015, the museum was conceived by Giorgio Armani himself and is housed in a former granary that has been renovated and restructured. Spread out over four levels and covering an area of approximately 4,500 square meters, the museum displays a selection of clothing and accessories from the Giorgio Armani and Emporio Armani collections, spanning from 1980 to the present. The term 'silos' was chosen by Armani to reflect the building's original purpose and to symbolize a food store for the mind. Its thematic exhibition, curated by Armani, explores themes within his creative process and showcases the unique aesthetic of Armani's designs characterized by clean, tailored lines and a nuanced color palette. The space not only celebrates fashion but is also intended to promote dialogue between artistic expressions and hosts temporary exhibitions and cultural events. The museum renders a close-up look at Armani's precision, craft, and the artistry behind the famed Italian fashion brand.
